21st June, 2100 - Western Kronespeak Territories, East Europe
"No, there."
Treasure was sitting with Dexter Wood, the systems analyst. He was searching a satellite image on his computer.
"Huh", he tapped on part of the image. "It's not picking anything up."
"Yeah, that figures", Treasure said.
"What even is this place you're talking about?" Dexter asked.
"Oh, nowhere", Treasure fibbed. "Me and Jacob found it when we were out yesterday."
"That's...quite far out of our territory", Dexter frowned.
"Needed to stretch our legs", Treasure said, quickly making a lie up.
"Uh huh", Dexter nodded, looking at her funny.
"Oh yeah, there's something else I wanted to pick your brains about", Treasure said, changing the subject. "You have access to all the records, right?"
"What records?" Dexter said.
"People", Treasure clasped her hands together. Dexter looked at her, shocked.
"Treasure, whatever you're trying to do-" he began.
"I met someone yesterday", Treasure cut in. "I want you to try find her."
"Fine", Dexter shook his head. "What was her name?"
"Elle Tiexeira", Treasure replied. "I think it's E-l-l-e, T-i-e-x-e-i-r-a."
Dexter quickly keyed in the name. The computer beeped.
"No results", Dexter said. "Are you sure the spelling is right?"
"Positive", Treasure said, picturing the certificates in Elle's lab. "That doesn't make sense."
"You remember what she looked like?" Dexter asked.
"Hard to tell", Treasure recalled. "She wore a lot of heavy makeup, and her hair was cut funny."
"Sounds suspicious", Dexter said, keying in any possible variant of 'Tiexeira' he could think of.
Treasure thought for a minute. "Try Wilson Tiexeira."
Dexter typed quickly. The computer beeped again. A file popped up. "Well, your spelling was correct."
He clicked onto the file, and it expanded.
"So who's this guy?" he asked.
"Dunno", Treasure said. "I asked Bernard if he knew who Elle was, and he mentioned this dude. He said he's probably Elle's dad."
"That's funny", Dexter said, scrolling through the file. "No mention of an Elle Tiexeira anywhere. He's got a wife, Isabella Hernandez-Tiexeira, a son, Luis Tiexeira...no daughter."
"Huh, that's strange..." Treasure said, confused. She thought a little more. "Open another tab."
Dexter sighed. "That's not how the server works."
Treasure looked at him, unamused. "Just do it."
Dexter clipped Wilson's files on the other side of the screen, and opened the server again. "Now what?"
"Do you have records of missing people?" Treasure asked.
"I would think so..." Dexter searched the server. "Yeah."
Treasure pictured Elle's lab. Her certificates dated back to 2092.
"Can you search a record of everyone in this area that went missing in 2091 til 2093?" she asked him.
