The two had a few drinks and were laughing away at something Sam had said sitting on the couch.

"This has been so incredibly fun" Calista smiled. 

"It really has" Sam smiled.

Sam reached over and gently pushed a hair behind her ear.

Calista felt a tingle as his skin touched hers. She held her breath as her eyes met his, and as if for the first time she felt herself feel incredibly safe.

Sam leaned forward and connected their lips together.

Calista kissed back feeling the same sparks and passion she always does.

The two eventually made their way upstairs and spent the rest of the night together, tangled in the sheets.

The next morning Sam woke up to an empty bed, he slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

He smelt the smell of coffee brewing along side the sound of music playing, and smiled.

He threw on a pair of shorts and headed down the stairs.

He watched as Calista plated some fruits, and eggs on a plate.

"Well I think this is the opposite of a robbery, because I know that I didn't have any of those items in my house" Sam chuckled.

"Oh yeah, I woke up early and walked over to the farmers market in the park across the street , which I'm hurt that you never told me you live across from a farmers market" she laughed.

"Sorry, I should've known you loved farmers markets" he smiled and walked to her.

"I do, they were my favourite part of the weekend" she said smiling at him. 

"You could've woken me up? I would've gone with you" Sam said softly kissing her head.

"That's okay, I wanted to surprise you! Now sit, eat" Calista said pushing him into the chair and putting his food down in front of him.

She placed her plate down and the coffee alongside some orange juice.

"Wow, this is.. amazing. I haven't had a breakfast like this since-" Sam felt himself stop, he took an awkward breath.

"Tell me about her" Calista smiled.

"You don't wanna hear about that, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it awkward-"

"No seriously, I would love to hear about her. I've heard so many things about her, she sounded lovely" Calista smiled.

"She was, she was great. We met when we were young, fell inlove almost instantly. Married not too long after. Angela was strong and beautiful. She was annoyingly kind, no matter what anyone did, she never had an unkind word to say about anyone" Sam tried to hold back his tears as he remembered her.

Calista sat silently, listening to Sam. She knew that he needed this, someone to talk to or at least someone to listen. 

"I remember when we used to go for walks in the park, and Colby would call us old people. She was so adventurous. She made me adventurous just by dragging me around with her" he laughed.

The way he spoke of her was beyond words. She and anyone else could tell that Angela was his first great love.

"I think you would've liked her" he said grabbing her hand and holding it.

"I know I would've" she said with a smile.

The two ate dinner in a peaceful silence, engaging in small conversations and laughing at silly jokes.

It was a great morning.

Sam dropped off Calista a few hours later at her house and headed over to Mariah and Colby's.

He parked out front and headed to the door, he knocked before walking in, noticing that only Colby's car was parked in the driveway.

Colby was sitting on the couch scrolling on his phone when Sam walked in.

"Sup brother" Colby said noticing him.

"Supppp" Sam said plopping down on the chair beside the couch.  

"So how was your date, I'm guess either REALLY GOOD or REALLY BAD" Colby laughed.

"Why would it have to be one or the other?" Sam laughed.

"Because you see my wife is still at Calista's house, that means that Calista came home very upset, or didn't come home at all" Colby wiggled his eyebrows.

Sam just laughed.

"It was so good, I haven't had that much fun in years. We had dinner, laughed and she stayed over. And then this morning she made breakfast, and let me tell you, she asked me about Angela. We talked about her for 20 mins. I haven't done that since the year after she died, it felt good" Sam said sitting up in his chair.

"Damn, that's great. That's what you need, someone who cares" Colby said with a smile.

"Yeah, it is pretty great" Sam agreed.
