Ghost (a MHA Fanfic)

No Wings

I open my eyes to the sound of my father's voice coming from this stupid alarm clock. I'm thinking about smashing it one of these days.

"GOOOOD MOORRNINGGG LISTENERSSS"

"uhgfhgh fuuucckk"

Suddenly, though slightly muffled by my closed door, I hear another boastful, " GOOD MORNING MY...", Bang! My door burst open, " LITTLE SUNSHINEEEEE!!!" I think I can see literal sparkles coming off this man.

"Good morning pop" I mumble out to the current embodiment of sunshine standing in front of me.

"Uhoh, Somebody Stayed Up Late And Didn't Get Enough Rest Last Night Huuuuhh??" He draws out the accusation.

I peek an eye open at my father and sigh, sitting up and stretching with a groan I say, "Can you blame me. I was feeling all jittery. Today's the day."

I look up  with a smile and see the proud faces of both of my fathers looking back at me, "Yea kid today's the day." My dad says to me while standing in the doorway. "You're ready, I know it."

"Damn right I am." I assert with a grin.

Time skip

I arrive at UA with my fathers, they turn to me in the car, "Alright kid you'll follow the signs up to your exam room, there's a separate room for recommendations but the route is mainly the same. You got it from here?" Before I could answer my dad, " HUHHH?!! We're Not Walking Her To The Exam Room!" Pop exclaimed in apparent shock.

"Do you see any other parents doing that Zashi?" My dad draws out. "Well I guess not." Pop mumbles and then looks to me suddenly a little misty eyed, " You've Got This Zera, Don't Forget We Love You!"

"I love you too Pop I'll see you after." I say with a smile then I exit the car and begin making my way to the exam room. I pass through the huge gates and follow the crowd and signs like my dad said. However, while on my way I see a green floof rapidly descending not too far ahead of me, and just as rapidly stop after being touched by a girl with rosy cheeks.

Upon getting closer to the scene I recognize the green floof as the kid I saw in that sludge villain attack I definitely had no part in. Nope. None. At. All.

Just keep walking Zee he probably doesn't even remember you the attack was months ago.

Flashback
Months prior, on the day of the sludge villain attack

3rd person pov

Zera had just left a convenience store when she saw a large crowd around an alleyway. She could hear what sounded like explosions coming from the alley as well.

Just keep walking Zee she thought to herself. My dads would freak if they heard I got caught up in some mess... on the other hand with all the commotion over there I'd bet there's some real awesome hero's battling.

Deciding she wanted to see a hero or two in action she walked over to join the crowd and cheer on the heroes only to see the fight wasn't going smoothly.

In the middle of the alley there were flames blazing bright and hot! In the center there was a monster, someone with a sludge quirk was attacking a boy! The monster yelled, " If any of you get close I'll snap his neck"

"Fire and wood don't mix!"
"If I had more strength I could pull him away!"
" Hold on kid help is coming!"

The struggle continued and the onlookers and present hero's became more frantic. People begin whispering about All Might and how he had been seen chasing this villain earlier, so where was he now? Where is he now that this boy is in danger?

Suddenly there is a break in the crowd! A boy with green floof on his head is charging into the flames, dodging them and the grabbing hands of heroes trying to stop him! As the boy gets nearer he spins and flings his backpack at the villain. A book is flung free and smashes the villain in the eye.

For a moment the villain belts and cries out in pain and the crowd is in silent shock. The green haired boy begins clawing and trying to pull the victim, who was not only not silent but cussing the boy out. It's not long, however, before the villain and the green boy join the crowd in their silent shock.

With his head flung back from the impact and one eye shut, the sludge monster catches a glimpse of an ominous figure in the air above him.

Having jumped from the crowd and now with her leg cocked back sum fierce, Zera suddenly found herself in the air ready to attack. The villain frozen in shock, no, fear?!, was unable to dodge as Zera kicked a large chunk out of what could've been his shoulder.

With the victim now exposed and gravity getting the better of our heroine, Zera uses her legs to hook under the loud blonde's arms. (Whom once again was cursing quite healthily so maybe he wasn't in as much danger as they'd thought.)

Zera attempts to use her momentum to pull the boy. The green boy seemed to have a similar idea because his arms had wrapped around the blondes torso as well. With their combined weight along with the explosions coming from the blonde's free hand managed to set him free!!

Well.... it just so happened that at that exact same moment the country's number one hero seemed to have caught up to the escaped villain. With one mighty blow All Might blew the sludge villain to bits....and got all the glory for saving the blonde.

Whatever, Zera knew she should've just kept walking. At least if she gets away quick her dads might not know she was ever there, and so that's what she did.

But everyone in that alley would remember the girl who seemed to fly with no wings. There one moment and gone the next, like a guardian angel...

Or a ghost.
