Lumine couldn't sleep. She was wide awake, staring at the ceiling. It wasn't really because she was not used to the bed she was sleeping on, it was because she was on a bed that it felt odd.
Her sleeping kit wasn't this soft. It wasn't elevated from the ground either.
She wasn't used to this quiet.
She shifted on her right, staring at the vase on the bedside table. "Yup, this is weird." She told herself before sitting up.
She felt herself slightly bouncing from the force of sitting up. "Not used to that either." She muttered.
As she slightly dragged her feet to the bay window, she couldn't help but admire the room.
"As expected of Fatui money." She said, a bit sarcastically.
She then sat on the bay area, staring out the window. She brought her blanket with her. Somehow, the uncomfortable sitting position made her feel more inclined to rest.
Still, she fought the urge to close her eyes. The view was too beautiful for her to not look at.
It wasn't like the view that she remembered after all.
Hours have passed, Lumine has still yet fallen asleep. She found herself counting the falling leaves that would pass by the window, the bugs that would fly by, even tried counting the stars.
It wasn't long until the sun started to rise. And still, Lumine refuses to sleep.
And for a few more hours, there was a knock on the door. For a moment, Lumine wasn't able to process what she just heard. It wasn't until the second set of knocks that she responded.
"Just a sec." She said, walking her way to the door.
When she got there, she opened the door slightly, just to check who was on the door.
It was none other than Childe.
Just as he said, first thing in the morning. He was there, in the flesh. Not some Fatui that he told to check up on her. Lumine couldn't help but feel relieved, elated even.
"You ready to go?" He asked Lumine.
She looked at him confused. "Go where?" She asked.
"A walk." He said.
"To where?"

"Is this place okay for you?" Childe asked, motioning to the very gorgeous view from the connecting bridges of the buildings in Liyue Harbor.
It was truly on of the best places to go to if you want to look at Liyue Harbor's busy streets.
"I guess? I don't really get why we're here though." Lumine shrugged.
"Well, unfortunately I have work this morning," Childe motioned to the Northland Bank, "so I thought I'd escort you back here first." He added.
"Oh," was all that Lumine could answer.
"I was planning on just dragging you to my office too but I don't know if you'll find paperwork exciting." He explained.
Lumine looked around for a bit. She noticed that she was gaining some odd looks from around her. "Honestly, I'd rather go with you in your office." She said.
Childe smiled. "Great. I promise we could go explore after work."

"You can sit on the couch, or beside me. Which ever you prefer." Childe teased.
