It wasn't like Lumine didn't know what his mission was. She just didn't reveal to Childe that she already knew.

Perhaps it was because she didn't want to mess up the timeline too much, despite the fact that she already sort of did.

"I didn't help out in Mondstadt. I haven't gotten my Adventurer's guild membership yet. I'm already here at Liyue, living with a Fatui." Lumine went through her mental checklist of events.

"Why did I go straight to here anyway." She facepalmed herself.

"Is this what happens when desperation meets panic?" She laughed sarcastically to herself as she paced around the room.

She turned to the hallway leading to the bedroom doors. "The things I did for you, you can't even imagine." She glared at Childe's bedroom door.

Currently, she was alone at Childe's house while he was out at Liyue Harbor doing his Harbinger business.

"Does Signora already have Venti's gnosis?" She asked herself. "Did Signora already come in contact with Zhongli?"

Suddenly, the weight of the situation dawned on her. She's been living idlicly for the past few weeks that she forgot why she was in Teyvat in the first place.

"Aether." She muttered to herself. "I know where he is."

Knowing your sibling's whereabouts without going through the unnecessary twist and turn that she has been doing comes at a price.

Where does she even start?

She doesn't exactly know where he is, but she knows where he isn't. She knows where he was.

But that'll leave her making a choice. Leave now and find her brother, or stay with Childe.

But what would happen to Liyue if she leaves? Will Childe follow her, or will he follow through with his plans?

Maybe she should just tell him. Tell him who has the gnosis, leave Liyue, and take him with her to find her brother.

But would he come with her if she offers that?

"This is stressful." Lumine groaned. She then headed to her bed and proceeded to plop down, face first.

"Aether, what would you even do in this situation? Are you gonna be cryptic again?" She sighed.

"I should've just followed my steps from before instead of rushing here." She facepalmed herself.

Lumine sighed and laid down properly on her bed, facing the ceiling. She reached out her hand, as if there was something to grab on to from above.

For some reason, she felt more alone in there than when she was in Wangshuu Inn.

Perhaps it was the lack of noise from the visitors of the Inn, or perhaps it was her readjusting to her new surrounding. Either way, she wanted to talk to someone. It felt too quiet for her own liking.

"I'm back. Hope you didn't miss me too much." Childe joked as he entered the house. In his arms was a bag of groceries and a box that indicated it was containing something fragile.
