"Why are you here?" I asked him.

"Me? Oh Y/N..." he chuckled.

There was a brief silence.

"Alastor, you didn't answer my question."

"...well Y/N, I'm simply here looking for um..."

I gasped. "Wait!" I laughed. "You're here for that shining book, aren't you?"

Alastor scowled at me and straightened his bow tie. "Well for your information--which I don't have much of a right to give you--I am. However you've kept me bickering for too long that by this time some other demon might has well snatched it up!"

"Uh yes...you're very right. You'd best get going then. Can't let some other demon snatch it up now, can we?"

Alastor narrowed his eyes at me. "Very well, I suppose so..." he walked off.

I stifled in my laugh.

He's going to be so pissed...

I went back to the hotel, a huge grin plastered along my face.

"Woah, who's day did you ruin?" Angel asked, raising his eyebrows.

I fake scoffed. "I'm offended! ...Alastor's."

Angel gave an approving nod. "Nice, nice...how?"

I reached in the bag and pulled out my newly checked out book for him to see. "It's the only copy around here! Pretty special, huh?"

"Very..." Charlie said, now pitching in. "Don't let Al see that. He really wanted to get his hands on it."

"Oh now you're just tempting me!" Angel grinned.

"Hey," I nudged him. "We gotta draw a line somewhere, Angel. You're not telling him anything...clear?"

"Awwww," he complained.

"Hey! None of that!" I threw a crumpled up napkin at him.

He chuckled. "Okay, okay...maybe I'll tell him, maybe I won't," Angel smirked.

I shot him a skeptical look.

"That's as good as you'll get from Angel," Charlie joked.

I shrugged. "Hm, I suppose so...seriously though Angel, you'd better watch your fucking mouth," I chuckled.

Angel laughed with me.

"I'm smiling right now but just know if you tell him you are fucked!"

"Ohoho~"

"Not that kind you disgusting pervert..." I grumbled, burying my face in my hand. "On that...lovely note, I think I'll be in my room," I informed my friends.

That's when I heard the front door crack open. I turned around to see Alastor.

"Hi Alastor!" Charlie said.

Angel smirked. "Oh hey Al!" he said, greeting him.

Alastor glared at Angel.

"What's got you so upset?" he asked innocently.

I nudged Angel in the chest.

"Well if you must know, I was looking to read that new book in the library and...ahem...someone beat me to it."

"OH NO!" Angel teased.

I hit Angel in the head. "Shut up!!" I whisper-yelled.

"Thank you..." Alastor grumbled.

"Well, as fun as this is, I think it's best we all separate for now," I said, eyeing Angel.

"What? This isn't fun for ya?"

"No!" Alastor and I said in unison.

Angel snickered.

Alastor let out a grumble in frustration. "I'm going to my room..." he said, starting to walk upstairs.

"Same," I mutter, following him up.

"Yeah..." Charlie agreed, joining us.

"What?! Really?? All of you, huh?" Angel protested.

"See ya Ange."

Angel glared at me. "Have fun reading that book, Y/N..."

Alastor turned and looked at me. "Book? Which book?"
