You stared at your small hands, the nimble fingers and soft skin

There was an odd feeling in the pit of your stomach, that from now on out you were truly alone. Not the alone that you always felt- there was always a sense of security that stayed with that feeling but now it was completely different

"Archangel?" You called out as you looked around. But you couldn't see as much, the world felt so much bigger than it's always seemed. The air was quite and the environment was quiet
You heard a distant sobbing and you turned your head to try and find where it was coming from

You felt different, your body felt so much heavier. Every step forward felt like you were carrying the weight of the world. You saw a small child hugging her knees and you slowly made your way to her, dragging your bare feet against the floor

The friction scratched the sole of your feet, making blood form from your raw skin

Your heart twisted and ached as you watched the child pour her heart out
"Why are you crying?" You felt a sense of need, to help this child. To bring her into your embrace and rub her back. Like you always did when you were comforting your students

You got to your knees once you were close enough and you wrapped your arms around her, trying to give her warmth since it was really cold outside and she was barely wearing anything to warm up her frail body
"I'm so cold..." she flinched and shook once you wrapped your arms around you, you were confused. Humans have body heat, why wasn't it working?
"..s'cold" she mumbled as her own tears turned into frost "you'll be warm soon enough, I'll give you my body heat" you tell her

You didn't know this girl, she felt so familiar yet so strange. You've never seen her nor have you ever heard this voice before. She was a stranger that you were hugging simply because she was cold and sad. A little girl that was freezing in your warm embrace.

It seemed like she didn't hear you as she slowly closed her eyes, her eyelashes forming little crisps of ice because of the moisture in her body freezing. Its almost as if she was able to feel you since she leaned a little closer by your side

You rubbed your arms on her, wrapping your legs around her to try your best to warm her up since she was literally turning into ice. "Why are you freezing.." worry and anxiety bubbles in your stomach as her breathing slowed yet never stopped completely. How was she still alive? How wasn't she dying from the cold?

Your eyes darted around the space, trying to avoid looking at the child so you wouldn't stress even more by seeing the state of her body. Your gaze landed on your arms that seemed to be a little see through.. almost as if they were semi transparent

"When is he gonna be back?" She muttered and you blinked a few times, looking at her and noticing the colour of her hair "he told me that he's gonna be back soon.." her lips trembled and turned blue as she talked "who's he?" You asked, confused as to who she was talking about

"What's your name?" You pulled away from her and her eyes fluttered open a little the e/c hues dull yet still kind. Strands of her h/c falling in front of her face. Her hair was long and they dropped to the floor "he... he promise" she slowly lifts her hand and stared at her pinky

The colour that your vision was able to capture slowly started draining, becoming only shades of black, white and in between. Except for the figure of the girl, yet her skin seemed greyer than it should be. Her eyes looked like the moving scribbles of a small child, as if they were animated

She was slowly turning pure white, the frost that the cold created covering her
"Who are you waiting for?" You asked, pressing your lips into a fine like before another question escaped your lips

"Who are you?"

She didn't reply, only closing her eyes again as she slowly froze into an unmoving statue made of snow. You wrapped your arms around her once more, pressing your cheek against the top of her head "why are you freezing? I'm hugging you so you should be warm..."

"Gojo" she chocked out before her lips were sealed together. Your eyes widened "Gojo??" You cocked an eyebrow

Was she waiting for Gojo?? What was going on- were you dreaming again? No, this felt more like reality. A fake reality. Maybe a hallucination or a false realm someone had trapped you inside of

A strand of green hair dropped and covered a portion of your view, you tucked in behind your ear and quickly noticed that your hair colour was different

You looked down at your hands, they seemed to have grown into long slim- very slim fingers that were as pale as a ghost and were semi transparent. You could see the dull colour of the ground through the palm of your hands

Were you a ghost in this fake reality?

You glanced back at the frozen body of the girl, suddenly- it felt as if wires were wrapped around your throat and you were struggling to breathe. As if you were holding back sobs
Your lips went agape and you tried to speak but all that left your mouth was a choke and suddenly you felt your cheeks stinging

You looked back down at your hands and noticed that frozen teardrops with small splats of blood were falling onto the ground. You lifted a hand to touch your cheek and you saw crimson on your fingertips

Your tears were sharp, and they were cutting your cheek as they fell

Since when did crying hurt so much?

"Y/n?" You chocked out as you felt your throat closing in and you couldn't tear your gaze away from the frozen figure "y/n? Why are you frozen like this?" You don't know what you were talking about, it's like the words were just leaving your lips on their own free will

"Come.. I'll warm you up.. I'll warm you up" you wrapped your arms around her once more and held her tightly, pieces of snow falling onto your skin and white robes

You noticed that they weren't melting, usually when snow gets on your skin or clothes it would melt quickly.

You never dyed your hair green, and you were never so... cold

"Y/n?" You muttered "were you... were you waiting again?"

This chapter takes place four thousand and two hundred years ago

Snow and small pieces of ice melt because of heat (obviously) so if they weren't melting even when they got on your clothing and hands- it meant that your skin was so cold that it wasn't able to melt the snow.

You were trying your best to warm the girl up but it was hard to do so when you were even colder than she was
