Emilia's POV
I was in my room cleaning up a new bruise I got and my father had called me "Emilia!" "Coming" I go downstairs to find my dad looking serious "what is it"
"You're getting older and it's time for you to get married" " what?! I'm only 25" "25 is old enough you're not a minor, so I've decided to marry you off to Leonardo Caruso"
"But dad-" he slaps me across the face "what did I say about calling me that" "I mean father you can't do that" "enough! Your getting married to him wether you like it or not" I run to my room crying
*Why is he doing this to me why does he like get tormenting me so much, he treats me like I'm some voodoo doll and not his daughter, I don't want to get married with a man I don't even know*
I sigh *I wish mom was here* my mom died when I was eight due to an illness and ever since she died my dad has never been the same, in fact he blames me for my mother death he calls me, a mistake, and I should have never been born, or that I caused my moms illness
My dad has made me so insecure especially about my body since I have so many bruises from him and I lost all my confidence so I have no say in anything
The day I met Leonardo was here and when I met him he was tall he was like 6'2 and I was 5'0 so really short and the whole meeting he ignored me and was just talking to my dad so I stayed quiet
The day came where I had to get my dress and I wanted a ball gown wedding dress but he had chose a long mermaid wedding dress and I didn't like it but I didn't throw a tantrum or anything and I had to say it looked good on me and it covered my bruises so win win
But as I was trying on the dress they suddenly tighten it to make my waist look smaller " ow!" " I'm sorry ma'am but we were told to tighten it" "well I don't like it it's too tight" "sorry but we can't disobey his orders" I sighed and I just gave in it wasn't like I was gonna do anything anyway
One day he came to talk to my father about the RULES and I decided to listen in and I did not like the rules one bit
The rules:
1. No leaving the house without him
2. No disobeying him at all
3. No telling the location
4. If I step out of line I'm going to be punished
5. And last but not least he has to get me pregnant in a month to continue his bloodline
"What!" "Emilia get out" "but fath-" "out now" I get out and stomp to my room *who does he this he is making all them rules especially the last one I'm not doing that* I say in my head.
