Camden POV
It's the first day and people are already getting on my nerves.
I sighed and looked around the hallway before getting ready to walk through the crowd that stunk of cologne and perfume mixing together.
Jesus does anyone know what moving out of the way means? Geez.
I finally made it to my locker glad to be somewhere familiar until I heard a voice that I knew all too well.
"Camden! Camden is that you?" A voice yelled through the crowd as I glanced over to the voice to see my best friend, Rhea.
"Ray." I said as she shoved through the crowd to get to me.
"Hey Cam. I got news." She said with a smile making me sigh.
"Oh no." I said as I knew what that meant. She either somehow has gossip or some other outlandish thing.
"Hey don't 'oh no' me it's good news." She said with a huff as I stared at her and sighed.
"Alright then what news do you have?" I asked her making her eyes light up as she pulled out an invitation?
"Absolutely not Rhea." I said as I read the invitation.
"Oh come on Camden. It's just a party. No harm in it." She said holding the invitation as I stared at her.
"You know I don't do parties." I said simply.
I had never done parties. No matter who invited me or who organized the whole thing. They just weren't my thing.
"You never go to parties. I mean Camden you're a junior in high school and haven't gone to a simple party." Rhea said trying to make a point.
"That's a good thing keeps me out of high school drama." I said shrugging my shoulders, closing my locker as she groaned.
"Plus who throws a party the first day of school? Yeah no thanks." I said walking down the crowded hall with her.
"Come on Cam it's only one party." She said walking right beside me with her things trying to convince me.
"No Rhea." I said simply as I walked into the cafeteria setting down my things.
"Camden I'll be there with you. Nothing will happen I promise." She said groaning.
"The flyer says it will be at night. 9:00 o'clock to be exact. I'll be asleep by then." I said with a sarcastic smile as she looked at me annoyed.
"You can stay up for one night. Come on Cam please. Just this one night." She pleaded.
"No." I said firmly as I started to eat my breakfast.
"Fine." She said with a sigh giving up as she began to eat her breakfast as well ending the conversation for the day.
