"Arataka Reigen of Spirits and Such at your service." Both Mob and Reigen stood unphased, as if seeing weird creatures like that is an everyday occurance. "I remember you! Y/N, right?" the blonde man once again walked up to you and offered a hand. "You seem to really like the floor," he chuckled.

I hope they don't notice how long I have aimlessly wandered this city. The more you think about it, the more you find it difficult to accept your situation. You really did leave your life behind. You had no home, no family, and no documents of your existence in this world.

Your thoughts were interrupted by Reigen, "Why didn't you use your esper abilities to defend yourself against the evil spirit?"

"Evil...spirit?"

"Yeah the thing that almost killed you? Man, you're having a bad day today. You've almost died. Twice."

You were confused by his word choice, "What do you mean by, esper-abilities?"

"Well you're an esper. Back when Mob got you out of that dark cloud, those were your abilities." The man turned to the middle school boy, "She is the powerful esper you said you felt before, right?"

It was the beginning of the day, when kids would get ready to go to school and adults to work. Both Mob and Reigen went to their designated places and began their day.

Reigen was lucky that so far all his customers never dealt with real evil spirits. No matter how much he tried to convince everyone he was a powerful psychic, he just wasn't one at all.

His first client was dealing with something heavy on their shoulders, presumed to be evil spirits, so he proceeded with the most logical solution. He scraped special salt all over the client's shoulders with a cheese grater. The client wasn't happy at first, they were suspicious of him being a fraud, but then Reigen used his special move. Aroma Runaway Express! This is where he uses special scents and a very effective massage technique to drive away evil spirits. After his treatment was finished he collected his money and the client left happily.

Another client that day asked to speak to his deceased father. Reigen, being the fraud that he is, of course made contact through the spirit realm and let his father possess him for the 'treatment'. They talked, they laughed, they shook hands. And in the end the client left Reigen's office happily.

His long streak of luck didn't last long because one case actually involved an evil spirit. At the time, Reagan didn't think it was real. He thought the man that came in said, "I always have something following me, an attachment maybe," to fool around with him because of his lack of confidence. Soon he was about to find out he was wrong.

The man said he needed to have an exorcism in his home, so he let Reigen into his apartment. They took a short drive through the city and parked underneath a tree. The weather was very humid and hot so the shade would help the car stay cool for a longer period of time.

They got out of the shiny red car and walked up some old mossy steps. The building seemed to be abandoned on the outside but once they stepped inside it looked modern and clean. Inside, it smelled like someone recently cleaned the place because of the lemon scented air.

"Interesting place you live in," Reigen commented. The client didn't respond. They walked up some more stairs and finally arrived at the man's place.

Before he opened it he turned back to Reigen and said, "I apologize for the unsightly room you're going to witness." The door lock clicked and the door creaked open. The whole living room was filled with garbage bags and trash all over the floor. The rotting smell of food struck Reigen's nose; he pinched his nose shut and continued to walk inside the room.
