I woke up to a bright room, with no Ryan. As happy as I am to be away from him, i feel scared.

I run scenarios of Ryan taking Daniel to the woods and killing him. I didn't know Ryan well, but I don't think he's capable of killing an innocent person.

I slowly stand up, my half opened eyes scan the room , still no Ryan. I head to the bathroom and begin my morning routine, which consists of taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth.

Still to my surprise, no Ryan.
I decide to leave the room, in search of Ryan.

"Ryan?," I call out, loudly.

No answer. I head to the living room, and notice a note of the front door.

As I get closer, the words get clearer.

"I'll be back soon."

That's it? Nothing else?
Was he giving me a chance to leave just to say that is simply a test.

I didn't want to take the risk, because I wouldn't be the only one put in harms way.

I decide this is my chance to roam the house, and get familiar. I creep my way towards the kitchen, nothing special in there.

I go up the stairs pass by a few empty rooms, which is strange. Another room is more like an office, and it was very dark. I decided to open the curtains, which really helped the room look better. I continue making my way down the hallway until I reach the last door. Upon opening, I see a set of stairs leading to darkness.

I want to go down, maybe Daniels there.

"Hello?," I call out, and get no response. I quickly shut the door, mainly afraid of the darkness.

I quicken my pace, back towards the living room. I sit on the sofa and begin to acknowledge how big the house really is. The top floor is mainly empty rooms with a bed. The first floor has a lot of open space.

Suddenly, I'm interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing. I freeze in fear, maybe it will stop. After about three rings it stops.
I sigh, only for the phone to ring again.

A strange thought brushes over me, maybe it's Ryan calling. Maybe he wants to talk to me.
With that thought I follow the sound of the ringing phone, until i reach the office.

I grab a hold of the phone, "hello?"

"Hello, who is this ?," a deep voice asks after clearing his throat.

I realize it's not Ryan, which scares me. Maybe this guy didn't know I was kidnapped, maybe he could help.

"Uhm, Alison...," I say with fear as if he would know who I am.

He chuckles, "Why do you sound scared?"

"What? No-no I'm not," I fire back, getting defensive.

He chuckles again, less this time before adding, "you must be a new friend of Ryan's, he's never mentioned you. I'm Charles by the way."

Friend? I was almost offended that he thought I would be friends with Ryan.

I decide that we have talked for way to long before I say, "you want me to leave Ryan a message?".

"No," he says, "It was nice talking to you."

I quickly hang up the phone and place it back neatly. I get out of the room as quick as possible, not liking the guilt I had of being in the room.

I make my way to the living room, only to find Ryan opening the door with shopping bags in his hands. He casually walks over to me, as I freeze in place.
He reaches over to kiss my cheek adding, "go make some breakfast, I haven't eaten either."
