Broken hearts

The next day, Damien received a call from his parents, stating that Kate had disappeared and it has been a while since she last met her parents and Damien. He was also worried much to the core, since he didn't say much but he truly loved his sister. Anyone who dares to harm her, will meet death soon.

He immediately rushed to his parent's mansion along with Viola to know what has happened. He tried calling her several times, but all went in vain and she didn't pick up even for a single time.

Even Viola tired calling her, but was of no use since the line was cut off. They reached the mansion to see his parents in deep sorrow. They both tried to console them, saying we can find them soon but they wouldn't budge.

Like this a few hours went. Damien was giving orders to his men to find her anywhere in the city and also the outskirts. His father was along with him, calling his friends and asking for, if they had seen her somewhere.

Viola was inside one of the bedrooms, along with Damien's mom.She was trying her level best to console her, but she was crying. They were really worried about her well-being. After sometime, they heard a roar of engine coming from outside.

Everyone came out to see, if any of the men found out her whereabouts, but to be shocked, Kate was standing there along with Viola's brother, Leo. She even had a big baby bump.

"Mom, dad...i know i should've said this to you guys at first. But i'm sorry. I am in love with Leo and we are expecting a child very soon. Also we are married three months ago." Kate said as though she was lying, since they met.

Although all this, she said was pleasing but they still couldn't know why she didn't tell her parents about this beforehand. Not that they will scold her, but they would've also supported her and would've conducted a grand wedding.

But her baby bump was too big to say that it was formed after marriage, since it looked like almost she was seven months pregnant. Damien was really angry upon seeing this.

"What the heck is this, Kate!!?", he exclaimed.

"None, of your business, Brother", Leo answered instead of her.

"I know all this is lie. You were hating him from the start!!, every one knows this!!", he said while looking at his parents and Viola, to which they nodded.

"Look, that was acting okay?, i didn't want anyone to know that we are in love with each other. Also, if i had told you guys, you would've definitely said that i'm already engaged. But i don't care okay!!", she said.

"Kate, this is wrong!, what would we answer to the groom and his parents?? They are our family friends!!, what would they think about us!?, you are such a dishonor to us!!", Damien's mom shouted at her.

"So be it, i came here to inform you guys just this. I am calling off the previous engagement, since i'm married now.", she said and turned around to leave.

"You would always consult me before you take a big decision, Kate....don't you love your brother anymore?", Damien asked, he was on the verge of his tears.

"I'm not a small girl anymore, Damien....let me live my life on my own peacefully without anyone giving me unwanted piece of advice.", with that she left along with Leo to god knows where they are going too live.

"Why did i give birth to such a dishonor!!", Damien's mom fell on her knees, while she sobbed.His father took his mother inside the room which indirectly said it was their time to leave.

"I am going else where for some work, i'll ask the driver her to drop you off the mansion", Damien said while he left without hearing any replies.

Viola was rooted to the floor. Her whole world was crashing down. To her, for the past two days, its been miserable, since a lot of un-digestable incidents had happened to her. Yet she spoke no word about it to anyone than that bear(Damien's disguise).

After she came home, she was busy with reading books, since that was keeping her sane in between the chaos that has been happening for the past few days. Also, she was worried for Damien, since she know that he and Kate had a really nice bonding, which she never had with her brother.

Damien was at the bar, fully drunk as he was not in a good mood. He loved her sister more than ever. He used to teach her, play with her, prank her, make harmless jokes about her, have silly fights with her but never have they ever left each other's sides for years.

Though in-between a few years where he had left for college, she found a new friend to play with and share secrets with, but that doesn't break the bond, even a little....this gap was too huge for him to fill up.

He was remembering all the wonderful time they spent together and how they were laughing and smiling all around with no worries in their hearts. But both of their hearts are broken. Somewhere in some corner, his sister, whom he adored a lot, was also crying about this same thing, as she loved her brother a lot.

Late in the evening, Damien came to mansion, fully drunk. He was walking with the support of his driver, Sam. Viola, came out immediately and she also helped him get in bed. Then Sam left out, only for them both to be alone.

Viola removed his shoes and socks, changed his shirt to a comfortable t-shirt of his and also changed his pants to some shorts, which she found in his closet.

As she was about to leave, she heard Damien saying,"Stay with me please, don't you leave me too", it was like a child begging his mom to sleep with him.

"Yes, i'm right here, i won't leave you", she said as she approached him, and sat beside him in bed.

He put his head on her lap as she was gently rubbing his head, running her fingers through his hair. His hair was soft, silky. She was doing this, until she felt him crying.

"She...she left me. I am her brother, she used to ask me everything, you know.....now she said I'm unwanted", he was crying.

"Shh....it's okay, she'll realize it soon and she will surely come to see you and apologize. She must be in some daze.....let's give her some time okay?....also she is pregnant...we can't force her into anything. It's upto her decision...now sleep...don't worry, things will become alright soon....okay?", she was wiping away his tears as she gently stroked his hair.

"Don't leave me, be my wife forever will you?", he asked with his puppy eyes. How adorable, she felt as was desperate in kissing him. But she resisted, since he was drunk.

"Yes, i will... but now you have to sleep...you're are a good boy right?", she asked as she kept on stroking him, while she felt him slowly fall asleep and the last her said before sleep was,"I'm always your good boy, my queen".

With that they both fell asleep in each other's warm embrace. Though their hearts were broken apart, they are still connected by a soul, named love.
