Why her?

The next week....

Viola was cleared with all her period stuff and she was really grateful to Damien for being such a caring and loving person, not directly enough though. Previous week, he gave all his cooking maids a small holiday, since he also took a leave for the week and cooked her food. He made her take leave and rest at home.

Viola has never taken rest during her periods, infact she never feels much cramps like other women, she is unlikely different among every women. She was always focused on her work and career that she rarely ever cared about herself.

With Damien in her life, she was able to rest a little. He was taking care of her like how she took care of him during his mental breakdown. He was not fully over that yet, but he doesn't want to stick with the dirty past, since he had to some how fuck off the insecurities and past life fears of Viola.

If not him?, then who?..that was the only thought which pulled him off of his trauma. His parents were also over that, since they knew Leo well, but the fact which made them angry was that, she never told them about this not even anyone, they felt of the lack of trust their daughter is having on them.

They also had a talk with her ex-fiance about this incident, they were really disappointed, but left since no other talks can be made now. Till now Damien and his parents did not make any single effort to look for Kate, since they are still not completely over from that trauma.

Viola, she was totally in her own land, thinking about how she trusted her father but how he betrayed her in the end. She was a little guilty about killing her own parents, but it was good or else things would've taken a worse turn.

As for Leo, he was drowned in his own guilt somewhere in some corner of this holy world, thinking about the two biggest mistakes he had made in his life. Both Leo and Viola haven't had a single talk since that basement incident, but both knew they had alot to talk and their ego and mistakes and the boundaries between them.

Like this, another two months had gone. Whenever Viola gets her periods, Damien would force her to take leave for a week and he would do all chivelary works for her. She never questioned him, since she knew he would never answer.

Their routine went well. Waking in the morning and leaving for work together. Being fitness freaks together. Spending time in reading at the home library together. Working together for their upcoming bot expo show and what not, sleeping together once a week, since Damien acts as if he is all alone since his sister left and he would ask Viola to sleep with him.

Somehow, he wanted Viola to be fucking close with him. They both had 'that love' but they never express. He was trying every single way in which Viola wont be alone in her own dreamland. He wanted her thoughts, dreams, attention and care only for himself.

One night, Damien's parents had called for a family dinner. Both Viola and Damien got dressed and they both left for the Knight's mansion (a.k.a. his parent's or her in-laws mansion). They weren't talking about Kate since that day she left.

They were busy talking about the bot expo, how many companies are merging, how many are invited and also they made sure to check the security well and clear, so that it wont go wrong like the previous event.

Viola was also so deep in explaining about her bots, its use, how its being made, imported products, to which countries are they exporting it and how much was the investment and so on and so forth.

She was explaining, as if she is presenting all this to her clients, indeed they are but only difference is, they are her own family. After she has done her explanations, everyone in the room were stunned. She was so real, no intentions of cheating and of course, she had knowledge in everything that she is doing.

Her father in-law was amused. He said,"I still believe in you child, like i did years ago and you didn't disappoint me till now and that's what i like in you.", with a gentle smile of proud. Damien's mom was also smiling along with him.

Damien, didn't any words to utter. He was confused, as to why would they know her years back?, he somehow assumed that they were family friends before marriage but that's not the actual case if he knew her very well, since alot of bad incidents had happened in Viola's life.

Viola never shared her past with anyone and it has been a secret till now except Damien...or maybe his parents knew too??....he was confused as to what was the real past and what has really happened in her life.

They then completed their dinner and was continuing with their previous talks. This time, their family lawyer was also there, since he was visiting for some paper works which has to be signed before the expo.

The lawyer was of the same of Damien's father, since they were both high school friends. Everything was going on well and good till the lawyer spoke to Viola,"You have become more independent and confident, my child. I can see your visible growth. You are improving yourself everytime and that's the spirit, keep it up my child", with a smile that boosted her confidence even more.

"Yes, the time we saw her, she was not like this....then she changed alot, from physical to mental, everything about her is changed into a newer yet best version of herself, and i'm really proud of you my child", Damien's mother added.

Damien had a look of 'what the fuck is going on?' and couldn't understand what everyone were saying. He only thought that they knew about her from media and other gossips but the way they were talking about her past....it seems really confusing.

He was thinking, if Leo really had mentioned everything from her past or not, since this seems alot different. Or is she lying in front of his parents and the lawyer. Without further ado and confusions, he asked his father straight away.

"Dad, do you know her before itself?...like i thought you knew her only through the media and hr accomplishments.", he said kind of a doubted manner.

"Well, son.....we all knew her more than the world has ever known about her. She really suffered alot back then though.", he said while looking at everyone.

"Wait, wait, wait....what the fuck is her past!!??....from what i've known, she has been sold off to some gang by her own family...but how the heck do you know she grew up well!!??", Damien said loosing his cool.

"Well, its her story to say Damien", said the lawyer with a simple smile.
