Chapter - 5

After the electricity stunt Chaeyoung pulled, Dahyun decided to expedite Chaeyoung and Mina's engagement.

The excitement was palpable as the Myoui and relative families gathered outside the mansion, preparing to welcome their guests. Everyone was elated, especially Mr. Myoui, whose dream of marrying his daughter into a wealthy family was about to come true. However, Mina and Chaeyoung, the stars of the day, were hiding due to shyness.

As the guests began to arrive, Mr. Myoui greeted them warmly, his happiness evident. "Welcome!" he exclaimed as the Minatozaki family stepped out of the car. Mr. Minatozaki hugged his friend tightly, sharing in his joy. "My dear fellow, congratulations on your daughter's engagement," he said, excitement evident in his voice.

Seo-joon, addressing Halmeoni, said, "We've come to ask you for your child's hand." Tears of happiness filled her eyes, and she hugged Seo-joon warmly.

Meanwhile, inside the house, preparations were underway. In one room, Momo, Jihyo, Sana, Tzuyu, and Daniel were helping Chaeyoung get ready. However, Chaeyoung, overwhelmed with nerves, was pacing the room.

"Come on, Chae, Mom and Dad are here. They're asking for you," Dahyun said as he entered the room, stopping Chaeyoung in his tracks.

"I won't go!" Chaeyoung declared, still tense.

Tzuyu, smirking, added, "Strange! You're getting engaged today and look at you..." He moved to Chaeyoung's side and placed a comforting arm on his shoulder.

"Tease me, go on. You're the one who spread the tale of the fuse-off! Everyone is laughing! What will Mom and Dad think?" Chaeyoung said, moving away from his brothers and turning to Daniel, who was trying hard not to laugh.

Jeongyeon and Nayeon entered the room, making Chaeyoung even more anxious. "Mom was really mad at you. She said nobody in the family has ever behaved like this!" Jeongyeon said teasing him more.

"I'm dead!" Chaeyoung exclaimed, worried about his parents' reaction. He pleaded with the ladies for help, but they just laughed, enjoying his predicament.

In the grand function hall, adorned with elegant decorations and filled with the murmurs of excited guests, Tzuyu and Jeongyeon gently pushed a reluctant Chaeyoung forward. Min-young stood there, playfully glaring at him. "The light went off by chance," Chaeyoung tried to explain, his voice wavering.

"Really?" Min-young asked, her laughter barely contained.

"It wasn't my fault. Dahyun hyung and Momo Noona are to be blamed. They said, get engaged. So I said, all right. It finishes one job," Chaeyoung said, attempting to deflect the embarrassment. Min-young twisted his ear playfully, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

Despite the initial awkwardness, the atmosphere was warm and celebratory. The families exchanged stories, laughter, and well-wishes, creating a joyful ambiance. Chaeyoung and Mina, though initially shy and flustered, gradually relaxed and enjoyed the moment, basking in the love and support surrounding them.

At last, amid the cheers and applause of their family and friends, Chaeyoung and Mina exchanged rings, sealing their engagement with a promise of a future filled with love and happiness. The celebration continued late into the night, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one that everyone present would cherish for years to come.
