Author's note.

Hello everyone, it's time for another Ben 10 fanfic..........Okay, let's get this out of the way, for those who are saw my first story, I talked to the author, I apologised and there is no bad blood between us. Also, yes, I did rewrite it. This is another crossover, but this time, with Poppy Playtime. For continuity context, this is set during the original classic series. Reason why? The hour of joy took place in 1995 and the main character of Poppy Playtime returned to the factory 10 years later, putting it at 2005. In terms of the Ben 10 timeline, this was gonna take place during season 3. But, after thinking about it, and for plot reasons, this now takes place after 'Secrets of the Omnitrix'. Also, I'll be going to the U.K to visit family. So, if my uploads are more infrequent, that's why. The Ben 10 franchise belongs to Man of Action and Cartoon Network and Poppy Playtime belongs to Mob Entertainment. So, leave a review, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Ben 10 Playtime

Chapter 1

The Letter

Tropher, Illinois.

The Rustbucket had just entered the town. Inside the Rustbucket, there were three people. The first one was a man named Max Tennyson, or Grandpa Max, to his grandkids. Speaking of, the other two people were his grandkids. The first one was his granddaughter, Gwen, the book smart, scientific, bookworm. The second one is his grandson, Ben, the loud, first-to-throw-a-punch puncher. What's so special about this group of people? Well, Max is a former member of an inter-galactic police force called the Plumbers, Gwen knows how to use magic and Ben has a powerful alien watch-like device on his wrist called the Omnitrix; it allows him to turn into different aliens. He started off with 10 and he now has 16. They are traveling on a road trip across America and along the way, they fight off evil from Earth or Space. Huh, sounds like a theme song.

The Rustbucket stopped outside of a roadside stop. But, there was smoke coming out of the engine. Max, Ben and Gwen ran out coughing.

"What *cough* *cough* happened?" Coughed Ben.

"The engine *cough* *cough* must've overheated" answered Max.

"At least we *cough* *cough* parked outside of a road stop" said Gwen.

After their coughing was done, they all sat down on a bench.

"You two okay?" Asked Max.

"I'm fine" answered Ben.

"Yeah, me too" added Gwen.

"Well, you two stay here", said Max. "I'm going see if what's wrong with the Rustbucket". He then got up and walked back to their vehicle.

"Oh man", groaned Ben. "This sucks. Now we're stuck here". He laid on his back and he then saw something that caught his eye. It was a large, yellow billboard, covered with wacky, cartoonish characters that read 'Welcome to Tropher, Illinois, home of Playtime Co'.

"Playtime Co?", wondered Ben

"Playtime Co?", wondered Ben. "Why does that sound familiar?".

Unbeknownst to Ben, Gwen or even Max, a figure dressed up in all black clothes, made their way into the Rustbucket. The figure then placed a work envelope on the steering wheel.

"If anyone can solve this, Max", the figure said. "You can. Good luck, you'll need it". The figure then ran out.

"What was that?" Asked Gwen.

Ben then pointed to the billboard.

"I've heard of Playtime Co" said Gwen.

"You have?" Asked Ben.

Gwen got up, ran back into the Rustbucket and came out with her laptop. She placed it on the table, opened it, typed away and some articles came up. The article read, in bold, black letters, 'Playtime is up. Famous toy factory closes down after almost all of it's workers disappeared'.

"Whoa", said Ben in awe. "Did. Did this really happen?".

"It did", answered Gwen. "After the 18th of August 1995, the doors of Playtime Co closed and everyone that worked there, were never seen again. Well, except one".

"Who was that?" Asked Ben.

"They preferred to remain anonymous", answered Gwen. "But they only left a letter saying this, 'that ain't a toy factory, that ain't even a safe place for children. It's a fucking hell hole'".

They then heard the slam of a vehicle hood and saw Max cleaning his hands.

"Well, I was right", said Max. "The engine overheated. But, it seems to be better now. Come on, let's go, we're burning daylight".

The three of them then entered the Rustbucket. But, when Max went up to the driver's seat, he saw the envelope on his steering wheel.

"Uh, Ben, Gwen", said Max. "Did either of you put this on my steering wheel?". Ben and Gwen then walked up to Max and saw the envelope.

"I didn't put that there" said Gwen.

"Me neither" added Ben.

Max opened it and all three of them were confused with what was inside. It was a yellow VHS tape and a letter.

"What's this?" Asked Ben, grabbing the tape.

"It's a VHS tape, you dweeb" answered Gwen.

"Well, excuse~ me", said Ben. "I don't know my tech history".

"Knock it off you two" said Max as he took the tape from Ben. He then placed the tape in the player. It clicked to life, but, the screen was black.

'Max, if, if you can hear this. They found me. I knew what was happening, that's I called in sick. But, they found out. I wanted to help them, but, he sent them. So, Max, I'm begging you. Please, read the letter, end this madness. Please'.

The tape ended and all three of them looked at each other.

"What did he mean 'end this madness'?" Asked Ben.

"I, I, don't, know" said Max rubbing his head. Max headed towards the steering wheel and saw that there was a letter in the envelope. He read the letter.

'Everyone thinks the staff disappeared 10 years ago, we're still here

'Everyone thinks the staff disappeared 10 years ago, we're still here. Find the flower'.

Max folded the letter back up.

"You okay, Grandpa?" Asked Ben.

"Buckle up, you two", said Max before Ben and Gwen sat down. "Next stop, Playtime Co".
