Third POV
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walberg sits in his office finishing documents for various matters, when he receives a letter that seemed to be from y/n.
Dear Walberg,
I hope this letter finds you well as I am replying to the last one. I'm Fine with having to wait another couple of months. (it's not like this is the first time anyway) I will most likely be going to the capital to notify the magic administration on what I will be doing for the time being. I would also like to ask for the permit to be able to travel outside the area during select times throughout the school year. For...personal reasons, I'm sure you're already aware of my magical capabilities. Which I would be willing to provide assistance to when needed, but I do not have the need to have an educational background with my magical experience.
As of now, I am probably already outside of the village to head over to the central capital. But I would assume that you'd be able to track me down if you needed me, correct?
y/n
As Walberg finishes reading the letter, he lets out a sigh. Deciding to rewrite another letter later. But all the sudden the visionaries barge into the office.
"Mr.Walberg, the captive has escaped!"
"Worry not Renatus, I've allowed her to. I'm also sure that she would not be happy if you were to call her that." saying the last part in a mumble.
"Why's that sir?" another visionary asks
"I'm sure you are aware that she is a traveler, I gave her permission to do anything she wants until the entrance exams and she chose to go explore for a bit."
"And you're sure she won't flee?"
"Yes, I for one am sure that she will be in full support of us. But if you really are that uncertain, you may do as you like to try and track her down."
"...Wouldn't that be disregarding our duties?" Tsurara, the Ice Cane, questions Walberg.
"If you believe that tracing down a captive is part of your duty as a visionary. I will give you permission to do so. Who knows, it may be a learning experience for both of you. Though only a few of you will be able to go outside of the city."
The visionaries stand still to contemplate this fact, quikly taking his leave to go after said mage.
Second POV
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You decide to leave through the north exit of the village since that would've been the closest route to the central city. You were able to catch a ride on a merchant's wagon to guard as a mage.
You recall the time you had to create a made up story of how your 'line' only appears when you use magic and that you were capable of protecting both the merchant and his goods.
'He's only agreed to take me to the mountain range which isn't too far from the village in Kiihl. I should be able to get another ride after getting through the mountain pass to get to the Magic Association.'
After taking a stop to camp out, you decide it would be best if you were to stay up and watch then just sleep in the wagon later on. The merchant bids their goodnight and you sat upon a tree keeping watch from a higher view.
'Since there may be monsters that might attack while at night, I'll just put up a barrier just in case.'
Third Pov
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The visionaries all stay hidden within a 5 meter radius of the camp.
'I'm surprised we were even able to find them...' Tsurara blankly stares while dozing off.
"We should be able to take her back when she falls asleep" Orter states
"ugh, such a hassle..."
***
'WHY HASN'T SHE LEFT AN OPENING IN 2 DAYS?!' the visionaries all collectively thought.
It had been 2 days and 3 nights so far, and y/n had still yet to show any signs of fatigue or openings. Y/n would sleep in the wagon during the day (which would be awkward for the merchant when he found out that she wasn't there), and she would stay awake throughout the night which wouldn't be able to let them take her willingly.
I mean, she was a traveler after all.
"Based on the direction we've been traveling in, we're probably going towards the mountain range. It will most likely be a stopping point since the wagon won't be able to make it through the pass." Sophina says as the other visionaries are huddled around as well.
"Then we should be able to find an opening then. We'll just have to wait until she is separated from the merchant and on her own." Orter said, the other visionaries agree to wait a bit longer just so they could get the opening to get her.
Second POV
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day and the merchant get ready to set off again.
"We will be getting to the mountain pass by noon correct?"
"Yes, I will probably taking a stop there. Where we will part ways."
You nod at this and acknowledge that you will have to go the rest of the way on your own.
'There's an area that is still inhabited by demons and other monsters in an area in the mountain pass. I should be careful until I get past that area. I'll also have to protect the merchant until we part ways...'
Setting off once again on your journey, you head over to the next town. All the while trying to ignore the constant mana emitting around you...
'Ever since I started traveling with the merchant, I keep detecting mana that isn't mine. The merchant shouldn't have this much mana, and it doesn't seem like a demon's...I should stay cautious.'

After making it to the village, you check in and settle into an inn. Then go out to run some errands.
'I guess it would be nice to see how much the town had changed since last time...'
Whilst walking around in your own thoughts, you come across a statue in the center of the town. On one hand, you'd think it's just a normal statue. But in reality, it was a statue of someone very dear to you. It was a statue of not only you...
But also Fern, one of the greatest mages in history.
