At the end of the night, with his sleigh piled high,
Santa sets off with a great big smile!
With a "Ho, Ho, Ho" and his lovely reindeer,
He skips through the sky. spreading plenty of cheer.
And behind him he waves to his beautiful wife,
Leaving her behind as he flies through the night.
Her work is now done,
And his just begun,
But there's no time to spare
For the elves are still there!
They all just spent the better part of the year,
Crafting puzzles and trains and teddy bears.
'Cause all the good girls and all the good boys
Sleep eagerly at home, hoping for lots of new toys.
Ms. Claus and the elves share a knowing glance,
For they all know it's their time to dance.
And though they're all tired and longing for sleep,
They have one big tradition they'd all like to keep.
They rush to their rooms for some sparkle and shine,
And whoever comes first brings the mulberry wine.
The North Pole disco lights up for just one night
While the Elves and the Missus celebrate under the lights.
They revel together knowing their job was well done,
And now it's their turn to have some fun.
The music turns on
And away go the yawns.
They dance and delight at this annual sock hop,
Knowing that Santa'll keep going 'til his very last stop.
And late into the night, Santa comes home
