"Are your moms still mad about...you know?" Blaire asked, biting into her sandwich at lunch.

"Yes pissed actually, as you can see I still don't have my phone." I said, picking at my salad.

"What did your mom's friends say at lunch?"

"They didn't say much being that I'm not their child but they were just basically saying I'm too young and other shit like that."

That whole weekend was boring as fuck and it really made me consider rather being at school than at home and I hate hate school.

Between mom's having their snide ass remarks and Henry being a brat I really didn't want to be in the house and I knew if I snuck out it would make my punishment much worse.

"So what's going to happen when they're at work?" Blaire asked.

"I'm either going to stay with my grandparents or with Aunt Pen." I told her.

"Jj parents or..." Blaire trailed off.

"Jj's you know my mom doesn't speak to her parents forreal."

"Oh true. Well maybe if you end up at your grandparents it'll be easier to get out the house since they hardly tell you no." Blaire stated.

"Yeah." I said, pushing my tray of food away.

"So have you told your moms about you wanting to quit soccer?" Blaire asked me.

 "Nope."

"Why not you know the longer you hold it off the worse it'll get." She said, placing her juice cup down.

She's right but I'm scared that momma will be disappointed that i'm quitting and she's disappointed enough in me just with the whole sneaking off to a party, getting high and drunk façade; plus my grades.

Before I could tell her why Ember came up to us I fucking hate this girl. "Hey Blaire. Florence." She acknowledged with a smirk.

"Ember." I smiled.

"Hey Ember." Blaire said, focusing her eyes to the floor.

"For someone who is popular you sure do hang around a lot of weirdos and trollops."

"Ember-"

"For someone who loves to call other people weirdo's and slut's you sure do sleep around with other girls' boyfriends." I smirked.

Ember's eyes flashed with rage "For someone who dad is dead and their mom is a dyke, you sure do have a smart ass mouth."

Of course she'd bring this up. My dad died when I was 3. My mom and him were never a thing. I was technically an accident. Anyway, so mom moved back to DC to work at the BAU and that's how she met JJ.

"Excuse me?" I questioned.

Ember laughed "You heard exactly what I said."

My temper flared, and I lashed out, my fist flew straight towards Ember's face.

 —

Tense and rigid, I sat with my arms crossed and leg bouncing, anger simmering just below the surface.

Hearing the door open I turned around and saw my moms, their faces were a picture of anger, eyes flashing and jaw clenched.

"Hello Mrs Prentiss and Mrs Jareau. I guess you can tell what happened by the expressions on your faces." Mrs Vergarri chuckled.

"Yes we can." Momma said, her eyes darting towards me. Keeping my head down I started picking at the skin around my nails.

Her voice became a background noise, as my mind disconnected from the conversation. I know for sure this will add onto the punishment and to be honest oh well they wouldn't believe me if I told them what actually happened anyways.

"Florence, you will be suspended for 3 weeks." Mrs Vegarri dismissed.

Nodding my head I stood up and walked out of her office. Moms right behind me.

After getting settled in the car Mom drove off. They are pissedddd. They're giving me the silent treatment. Of course they would. This is the second incident, well not really an accident since it was on purpose anyways you get the point in only a week.

Arriving at the house both mom and momma walked to the living room.

I tried to make a run for my room but it did not work. "Unt unt couch now." Mom said in a demeaning voice.

Coming to sit, I slouched on the couch with my arms crossed.

"Florence Avery, you better tell me what happened and don't lie." Mom gritted out through her teeth. Even if I wanted to lie it wouldn't make a difference.

"She called me out of my name." White lie.

"There's obviously more to it Flo you don't usually let things like this get to you." Momma said coming to sit across from me.

"There's not anything else to it." I said, bouncing my leg.

Momma placed her hand on my leg to get me to stop. "You know we can tell when you're lying." Mom said, crossing her arms.

"Oh my god even when i'm telling the truth you assume i'm lying!" I said, raising my voice.

"Florence, lower your tone. We're not assuming anything we can tell that you are lying, especially because nothing this little gets you riled up enough to punch someone in the face and bust their lip." Momma explained.

"Well nothing happened so your "profiling skills" obviously aren't working."

Momma knew I wouldn't budge so she changed the subject "You know this ruins soccer and any other activity that you do right?"

"I quit soccer." I blurted out.

Waiting for a response that never came I glanced up at them both. Momma's jaw was dropped with her mouth covering it while mom just stared at me dumbfounded and wide-eyed.

"Florence, go to your room. We will talk after dinner." Mom demanded.

"Like that'll ever happen." I muttered, walking out of the living room.

It's not that I didn't want to tell them the full story, it's just that I didn't know how mom would react and we never really talk about my dad. Hell, I don't even remember anything about him really.

Exhausted by the weight of my emotions, I tried to think of other things but every time I did my mind would go straight back to the incident. Maybe I shouldn't have told Jj about quitting soccer.

Sighing I rolled onto my stomach and closed my eyes.
