every college kid loves a decent party, especially when the hottest senior joins.

I grin, rubbing my hands together wickedly.  Violet looks almost sick but I know she's faking it.  Rhiannon and Ridoc had gotten together to host a huge pre-birthday party for her.  Really, it was just an excuse to have any sort of party, but it meant her mother paid for a huge villa for us all to stay in.
"Come on, Vi!" Rhiannon cries finally, reaching up to shake our friends shoulders.  "Don't look so damn nervous.  You've literally kissed him!"
"Don't remind me!" she yells back.  She's almost hot to the touch as I rub her arm, but I'm sure my soothing gesture isn't helping her as I cackle in her face.
"You guys have been flirting for years," I tell her.  "Everyone knows."  She shakes her head quickly.
     "I love Dain, but he's-"
"Oh!  I got it!  Ridoc, I got it!" Sawyer screams.  I look over and he's waving his phone around above his head.
"Do not tell me..." Violet grumbles as she shoots up off her seat at the two boys closing in.  Rhiannon and I share a panicked look before rushing after her already stomping toward the two.
Indeed, Violet's second-worst nightmare may have just come true.  Sawyer has a recording of her saying she loves Dain.

I should probably stop her as she lunges for the tall blond a year older than us, but I only pinch my lips and take a step back.  I stuff my hand over my mouth to stifle my laughter, sharing a look with Rhiannon as we both try not to snort.  She follows my lead and Sawyer screams but I only bite my lip.
But thankfully, Violet's violent outburts doesn't last long.  Sawyer offers to delete it and she watches as he does.  I'm not entirely sure if that's truly the last trace of that video gone.  His expression is well-done and gives me no hints, but unfortunately for Violet, I don't think it'll matter either way.

People finally begin arriving and we offer greetings as they come in.  It's going to be a pretty decent gathering considering how lax we were about the invitations.  Anyone can show up as long as we kind of know them.  That's all.
Violet and I's friend Liam shows up rather quickly.  He's always been quite punctual.  Thankfully, after getting a pretty stern talking to about not showing up early because it'll be awkward, he walked in the door as soon as the clock hit 8.
"How long have you been outside?" Violet asks immediately.  He hadn't even finished getting his coat off.  He freezes with a light blush dusting his cheeks and then continues yanking at the gabardine of his trench coat.
     "10 minutes," he mumbles.
"What was that!?" I call loudly with a playful grin, sticking a hand to my ear and leaning over dramatically.
"I didn't want to be late!" he pleads as he begins walking over to the bar.
The villa in huge, to be expected for the 21st birthday of a major politician's daughter.  It's the first birthday she gets to spend alone with a college friend group.  While I don't think Lilith Sorrengail would ever admit to it, I think she knew she should give her daughter a bit of space for this week of celebration.  She's going to have a get-together with her family a bit after her birthday, too, so it's not like all is lost.

Slowly, more and more people enter.  Most are Violet's friends, like Jesinia, Aurelie, Eya, and of course, Dain.  Rhiannon had invited her RA Cianna and her (kind of) girlfriend Tara.  Sawyer had invited some upper-classmen he was closer in age to and their names were Quinn and Heaton, and Heaton by extension had invited their friend Emery.  Ridoc had invited his boyfriend Tyvon but that was all for his list.
However, Liam was really pulling some weight.  He'd somehow managed to convince a huge amount of his group to join.  They all came together around 9, dressed in finely made leather with tattoos crawling across their skin.  I giggle as Ridoc fidgets with his collar in the most unnatural movement to show off his own neck tattoo of a dragon.
Violet had her eyes narrowed in skepticism.  It certainly seemed like the gang was quite surprised by the party he'd wrangled them into.  A party hosted a politician's daughter when their parents had started an organization to protest government overreach.  Real smart.
"Mind introducing everyone?" Rhiannon asks cheerfully.  Ridoc's eyes were practically gleaming as he tried real hard to show off how cool he was.
I, however, was not trying to impress anyone.  I probably looked quite stupid at the moment.  I recognized them all vaguely from around campus, though I probably couldn't name any of them.  A girl with pink hair and a shaved side, a stocky body-builder with a short black mohawk, a brunette that seemed too sarcastic to get along with new people, and of course, two of the hottest men I've ever seen in my life.
They look incredibly similar.  Rich, tawny skin, black, glinting eyes, and black hair that sweeps into almost curls.  Both sport the gang's tattooed sleeve of some type of flowing design, though the taller one's reaches all the way up his neck and peaks over the edge of his jaw while the other's disappears under his shirt.  They both tower over the others, only being challenged by the weight-lifter, but still not beaten.
