*K wakes up in a white room with his body bandaged, laying in what seems to be a hospital bed K tries to move but grunts in pain as Emily walks in to check on him*

Emily: Hey hey calm down don't try to move, your ribs are still healing, injuries like this still take some time to heal despite our speed healing, just relax for now.

K: What happened? I was getting my shit rocked by your brother and then... Nothing, *winces in pain* It hurts trying to remember.

Oliver: Don't worry about it, Darron got what was coming to him, i hate to admit it but it's the truth, that ability of yours is something else, never seen it before...

K: What happened to Darron? *K sits up and looks across the room and notices Darron Fully bandaged hooked up monitors*... did i...Do that?

Oliver: *Looks down and softens his gaze* yeah... you did, don't worry he's alive, gave him a real ass beating ya know?

K: I guess but... How did we end up wherever here is?

Emily: This is the Infirmary, pretty much our medical wing for when one of us sustain injury not even our healing factor can fix

Oliver: The void has 3 gateways one leading to here the infirmary and the other two leading to the library and the workshop, you'll learn about them later for now get some rest *both oliver and Emily leave the room as K falls back asleep*

*1 hour later*
Oliver: Hey K how are you holding up?

K: Feeling better, how's Darron doing? didn't see him when i woke up

Oliver: He's fine left a little while ago before you got up, still seemed upset but, he'll get no sympathy from us

K: Right... anyways, i've been meaning to ask, i get the feeling you, Darron and Emily know each other, how did you all meet?

Emily: Oh well, I guess you could say we've known each other for years, practically grew up together, dad built up a lot of debt and ended up going to a loan shark to pay it off, once he couldn't pay them back they broke into our house and took our mom and held her hostage until he did, dad ran after them but didn't come back, We ended up in they foster system and that's where we met oliver, his dad worked there We eventually got adopted by Oliver's family and lived the rest of our lives their until one night we were all approached by a man in a white suit and when we woke up we had the powers.

Oliver: Some days after that my dad was found dead with knife wounds all over his back and legs, Never found the murderer until... no That's not important.

Emily: Until what?

Oliver: Nothing it's fine, i was just rambling, Anyways K, I should go and check on Darron make sure he's holding up well

K: Alright

*Oliver leaves*

Emily: Hey K can i talk to you?

K: Sure

Emily: Are you ok? you took quite the beating earlier

K: Yeah i'm fine, despite my ribs, nothing else seemed to be broken

Emily: Good...

K: Kevin

Emily: What?

K: My full name is Kevin Reed, K is my nickname and the name i tell people to call me when i meet them for the first time

Emily: Nice to meet you Kevin, you can call me Emma instead of Emily, It's the name my mom was going to give me before she decided on Emily

Kevin: Nice to meet you too Emma

Emily: Anyways I should go see Darron and make sure he and Oliver aren't trying to kill each other, Talk later?

Kevin: Yeah of course.
