Episode 3: Training arc

K wakes up in a large dark room, looking around paranoidly K finds a group of people huddled in front of what seems like a large desk meant for a judge with multiple chairs

K hears them mumbling but cant make out what their saying, just then one of them, a girl, sees that K is wake and alerts the others, one of them walks over and helps K up

"Finally you're awake.. Do you remember anything? '' says one of them.

"No i *K grunts in pain while clutching his head" sorry I'm a little disoriented, feels like i got hit by a truck" says K

"Well at least you're alive, you're probably wondering where you are *K nods* well you are in the void. Our main HQ and base of operations, it's also a pocket dimension only we can travel to, I'm Oliver the leader, This is Darron my right hand. Over here is our tech expert Michael or Mikey, and these two are Emily Darron's sister and Elizabeth also known as Liz, and we are The Rift'' says Oliver

"Nice to meet you all, I guess.. I'm K and if you don't mind me asking "Why am I here exactly?" ask K

"We were hoping you'd join us and in return we teach you about your powers" says Mikey

"And as you can tell were low in Numbers, Their aware more of us but something happened and were all that's left, if you join us you could help us rebuild" says emily

*A feeling washes over K as he recognizes Emily's voice but brushes it off*

"Ok, You've been straight with me so far, I'll join you" says K

"That's great news!, now if your feeling up to it we can begin your training *K nods* ok good lets test your current skills first *everyone backs up* ok K lets see how good you are" says Oliver. Both K and Oliver get into a fighting stance, K throws the first blow while Oliver doges effortlessly, K throws the more strikes trying to overwhelm Oliver but is parried and hit in the gut "hmm he's quick.. But careless" Oliver mumbles, K gets up and gathers himself before throwing a faint kick tricking Oliver in to blocking leaving his head open for a punch making him to stumble back "not bad man, actually got me with that, before they continue Darron interrupts them "This is a waste, we should really be testing his powers not his hand to hand!" says Darron

"I know that but We need to be sure he's a capable enough fighter already and he's actually not bad but i will agree hand to hand can come later, anyways lets start the real training * K and the others walk to the opposite end of the room* alright K, we all here have about the same powers, superspeed enhanced strength, durability and agility, but the one thing that separates us is out Auras, Auras are the extra power we all have that is specific to us, I can create, manipulate and control blackholes, Darron can manipulate gravity, Mikey over here has astral projection allowing him to create weapons, Emily has time fragment manipulation allowing her to manipulate small moments in time' , and Liz has Precognition allowing her to see into the future, and were going to figure out what your aura is but first your gonna need this *Oliver pulls out a box* In this box is something we call a driver *Oliver opens the box* it acts as a morpher, a watch, communicator and teleporter to the void and back" says Oliver as he places the watch on K's wrist

"Not bad right? Designed it myself based it off and Casio watch, this button here on the lower left is for the teleporter press it and you'll be warped to the void press it again and you'll be sent back to your last known position, the one above is for the communicator pressing it will contact the entire team, if you hold it and say a person code name it'll contact them only" says Mikey

"Wait, codenames? Ask K curiously

"Yes codenames are what we go by when in the field, helps protect our identity" says Liz

"They also allow us to morph into our suits, just say your codename followed by engage and you'll morph, the suits themselves act as armor be able to withstand almost anything from heat, cold, ever allows you to breath underwater" says Emily

" And now that that's out of the way lets see how well you can control your speed, run from this end of the room to the other and back *K gets into a running stance*Alright just breath, relax your body and focus, let the energy flow through you can run" says Oliver. K takes a deep breath, relaxes his body and zooms from one end of the room and back "Nice Job man! Picked it up quickly" says Micky

"My coach back home had us do the same before a big tournament, said it help our bodies from tensing up during a match and be more in control" says K

"Good now we can move on to the next step, activating your aura, Darron your up" says oliver as Darron steps up and the rest back up "Darron's will be your sparring partner for this, now auras aren't like superspeed, tapping into them is specific to everyone, you probably don t remember but you actually tapped into your aura back at the warehouse, awakening it for the first time causes your body to go into a form of autopilot, but activating it at will isn't so easy, just because you awakened it doesn't mean you'll be able to use it automatically, once you use it at will the first time you'll have an easier time controlling it, Auras also hence the name create a visible aura that emits around you when active, Now lets get started" says Oliver. Darron and K stand in front of each other, Darron toying with K increases the gravity around him causing him to kneel

"Stay down!, wouldn't want to embrace yourself now would you? "Says Darron smirking

"Ay we talked about this Darron go easy on him, says Emily

"No the best way to learn is in the heat of battle, if he cant overcome then he isnt fit to join us, he doesn't belong here" says Darron as he increases the gravity around K inching him closer and closer to the ground *K thinks to himself: damn it come on! I gotta get up* K barely moves in an attempt to get up but Darron increases the pull forcing him head first into the ground "dammit man, that's enough! Let em go!" yells Micky, Darron increase the pressure more and more "Darron let him go * Oliver activates his aura* Now!" demands Oliver

*Darron sighs* "Fine'' Daron relieves the pressure off K letting him struggle to his hands and knees before kicking him in the head, Oliver and Mikey grab Darron and push him back "What the hell D!? We've been over his man! Go easy on the new guys, can't have another person drop out because you can't lighten up!" says Darron

"I told you if he cant handle it he aint worth putting on the team, just be dead weight" says Darron,

"Deadweight? I ain't no damn deadweight Asshole!, and I ain't gonna let a piece of shit like you tell me what to do' says K

"Didn't i tell you to stay down!" say Darron as he goes over to K and kicks him in the gut

Mikey grabs Darron and gets elbowed knocking him to the ground "know your place deadweight... too weak to fight back too weak to save your friends, they almost died and all you could do was watch, maybe if Courtney did, you'd understand better" says Darron as he turns his back and walks away "shut the hell" says K in a low tone

"Damn your annoyingly persistent" says Darron

"Fuck... off... fuck.. You... leave my friends alone, leave them out of this And Keep Her Out Of Your Mouth!" Says K Angrily. Just then K starts to emit an aura around him as he stands to his feet. The aura erupts in intensity, getting stronger and stronger!, *K mumbles: Asura* K's eyes become clear as hid iris a pupils seemingly disappear

'So that's his Aura ay? Advancement, the ability to temporarily Increase one's own capabilities making faster, stronger, durable and more agile then they were before< but its not without its biggest weakness... The body will take a huge toll the longer he's in that state, Liz, make sure Mikey's ok, me and em are gonna try to calm K down" says Oliver as K Glares at Darron who has a shocked look on his face and charges at him.
