Rosalyn's (Ro's) pov:
I wake up to the sound of my alarm being as loud as ever. I groan internally and take my other pillow to shove it in my face to make the noise dissapear. Spoiler alert, it doesn't.
Today was the first day of senior year and I was neither excited nor happy about it. It's the total opposite actually. I didn't want to go back to school, it was just so draining and boring, sometimes I even thought I would actually end up dying in there.
I just wanted to go back to sleep, dream a little more and maybe, maybe later I'll consider if school is actually worth going to.
The sound of footsteps bring me back to reality and I jolt myself up the fastest I can and go straight to my bathroom. I splay some water on my face just to wake up and force my eyelids to open. I brush my teeth quickly and make my way to my closet. Hissing at my toe hitting the bed's foot. I ignore the pain and choose my outfit for the day.
It was still pretty warm here in California so I went with a grey crop top and some black jeans. I sprayed my parfume all over me and made my long hair look somehow presentable. I then thanked god for giving me straight hair that was easy to style and put some gold jewelry on.
I didn't have time for makeup so I just curled my lashes and put some lip gloss. I may have dark circles under my eyes for choosing reading over sleeping last night and I immediatly regret my choice.
I looked at myself on the mirror and hated what it reflected. It wasn't even new, I always hated my body and I probably always will.
I sighed, quickly putting my shoes on, grabbing my bag and phone to finally make it downstairs to the kitchen. I open the fridge only to close it just afterwards.
"I'm going ma!" I yell as I shut the door behind me.
I put my headphones, start my playlist and begin walking. The school wasn't that far it was just a couple of minutes away so i didn't really mind walking there, plus I liked the peace.
Arriving at school, I notice a lot of new faces blending in the crowdy hallways. It was packed, like really packed, too narrow to walk properly without someone knocking me. And I hated this, this uncomfortable feeling of suffocating. My heartbeat beating wildly against my chest and my breathing getting quicker each second.
I focused my eyes on the ground and tried my best to get to my locker the fastest I can. My head suddenly bumped into what seemed like a wall? No, a wall couldn't have sexy lean legs like the ones I was seeing.
I looked up and my breath immediatly hitched. My god, who is this boy? Actually, let me correct myself who is this man? Because there's nothing boyish about this guy. Instead he looked like a man; firm features, high cheekbobes, a jawline that can cut me in half and the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Emerauld green and a little of speks of gold in them. They were so captivating It made me dizzy. His right eyebrow was slightly raised at me. And that's when I realized that he was fully aware of me checking him out the whole time. I just made a total fool of myself, real great for a first impression...
My face heated up under his consuming stare while I mentally facepalmed myself. God was he tall, my neck was getting pretty tired from the force of looking up at him.
"That's a snug hold you've got there." He says with a voice that could literally bring me to my knees, but I hold my head up and quickly shove my thoughts away. I process his words, a bit confused but then he tilts his head down to my hand. I follow the movement and instantly regret waking up this morning.
I was mortified and I wasn't even being dramatic! I was gripping his forearm, wich was really hard and veiny by the way- like my life depended on it. I released a nervous laugh and yancked my hand as if his touch burned me.
