POV : Cameron

Characters : Cameron, Luke
Place : King's desk.
__________________I was working when I heard a knock coming from my door.
"Come in." I say, looking up from my paperwork as the door opened, the face of my advisor picking through it.
"Sir, I have unpleasant news to tell you." Luke announced, his voice sounding slightly more alarmed than usual.
"What's wrong?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing. A sigh escaped my lips as I leaned back against my chair. There's bad news everyday in this kingdom.
I saw Luke take a breath, just before he looked at me and answered.
"We reported another robbery, near the jewelry store this afternoon around 4PM. The amount of money stolen is estimated at 4500£."
"And how is the investigation going so far?" I asked, letting out another sigh.
Luke stayed silent for a moment, his fingers fidgeting behind his back.
"The police is still working on it. We have some clues, but we didn't find anything that would allow us to clearly identify the culprit. However, we think that the culprit is the same person that has been robbing the kingdom the past weeks." He answered, his eyes darting frantically around the room.
"Then what are you doing here? Go back, tell them to continue the searches and find whoever did this. This is the third time this month, and you're still at the same point you were three months ago." My hands fell onto the desk, slapping against the wood with a thud.
Luke nodded, bowing his head to me. "Yes, Sir. Of course. We will do our best." He turned on his heels and left the room, closing the door behind him.
I watched the door as it shut, staying silent and thinking to myself for a moment. It's always the same thing with them. Those detectives are good at nothing. It would be so much easier if I was the one investigating...
