Chapter 23

"I don't know what to do!" Sirius complained.

"You could start by holding my hair up," Jamie groaned.

"Yeah, that I can do," he said and hurried to hold her hair up as she jerked forward and threw up.

"I hate morning sickness," she mumbled.

"I'm sure Cissa and Alice are sharing the same sentiment," Sirius said as Jamie threw up again.

"No more eggs," she whispered.

"Since it made all three of you go, I'll accept that," Sirius said.

"Love?" Klaus called.

"In here," Sirius called.

Klaus entered to see the position they were in, "Remus was making eggs not knowing it would set off all three women into vomit fits," Sirius said.

"I think I'm good now," Jamie said, moving to get up. Both men helped her up and then Sirius suddenly wrapped his arms around her, "I don't know what to do!" he repeated.

"Have you talked to Remus?" Jamie asked as the Jamie/Sirius hybrid moved into the bedroom with an amused Klaus following.

"Noooo," he trailed off.

"Oooo, so I'm first," Jamie perked up, "Wait, why am I first?"

"Because it would also impact Remus and you would kind of understand it," Sirius said.

Jamie sat down on her bed and Klaus and Sirius joined.

"What's the problem?" Klaus asked.

"Father wants to give me the Lordship," Sirius said.

Both of their eyes widened, "Oh, that is a big thing," Jamie said.

"How would it affect Remus?" Klaus asked.

"Because we have creature laws. Whether by somebody who is actually that creature or someone with a creature inheritance. Back when arranged marriages were still a big thing, the only way it would become void is if there was a creature inheritance or they were a soulmate to a creature. This happened when a Veela killed a witch that was going to be married to her mate and couldn't get out of the contract. Since I am listed as Remus' soulmate and I am his mate, we are technically married in a sense since any marriage contract becomes void. In a sense you and Jamie are married since Jamie had a creature inheritance and you yourself are a werewolf even if bound," Sirius explained.

"So Remus would be co-Lord/secondary Lord," Jamie said to Klaus.

"Do they check inheritances before marriages?" Klaus asked getting angry.

"Evans and Dumbledore didn't," Sirius grumbled.

"And they're going to regret it," Jamie said with a smirk. "Besides, technically I'm a widow, they just don't know it yet."

"My problem," Sirius whined, bouncing slightly in his seat.

"Right," Jamie said, fully turning to him, "I think you would do wonderful. I've heard you ask questions to my dad and uncle whenever you could. You know what to do, you're just nervous and that is understandable. Besides, you've already been called Lord Black," Jamie said.

"But it wasn't official. I'm just lucky there wasn't a Wizengamot meeting," Sirius said, his voice becoming a bit small.

"Sirius, you handled everything great. Your father wants to leave everything to you because he thinks you can do it. No more Father looking over your shoulder. You know how to do the paperwork, you know how to do the finances, you know members of your family pretty well, you're well versed in our complicated as fuck family tree, you know how to be cunning when need be, you can notice things other people can't, you are ready," Jamie said.

"Does that mean...?"

"I better be best woman," Jamie said seriously.

Sirius snorted and pulled her into a hug, "How do I talk to him about it?"

"I would hope you do it nowhere near a full moon if you're talking about Remus," Klaus said, startling the two.

"Oh, yeah, that would be a good idea, that would too much of a shock. Maybe I should do it now...," Sirius said. He then went to the door, "HEY REMUS WANT TO GET MARRIED OFFICIALLY?!" he screamed.

"WHY BRING IT UP NOW?" Remus yelled back.

"I'M OFFICIALLY TAKING THE LORDSHIP!"

"AFTER THE NEXT HORCRUX!" Remus yells.

"IS THAT A YES?"

"YES IT'S A YES PADFOOT!"

"HE SAID YES!" the Black sisters couldn't help but chime in.

Jamie tapped Klaus' thigh, "He's done yelling," she told him and he lowered his hands from his ears. Jamie kissed him before getting up, "WEDDING PLANNING!" she yelled and suddenly all men were thrown out of the room as the other women joined. Klaus rubbed his precious ears. Mikael and Marcel seemed to have a similar predicament.

"Shouldn't we be in there?" Sirius asked Remus.

"Nah, give them time before we join the torture session. Besides, there's better things to do," Remus said going into their shared bedroom with Sirius quickly getting the idea and running behind.
