A few weeks later, Liam received a call from his parents, Max's grandparents, who expressed their desire to visit California and meet their grandson for the first time. Excited and slightly nervous, Liam made arrangements for their arrival.

When the day finally came, Liam stood on the front porch with Max by his side, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their guests. As a car pulled into the driveway, Liam's heart raced with anticipation.

Max squirmed with excitement; his eyes wide with wonder. "Are they here, Dad? Are they here?" he exclaimed, bouncing on the balls of his feet. Liam chuckled, ruffling Max's hair affectionately. "Yes, buddy, they're here," he said with a smile.

As the car doors opened, Liam's parents stepped out, their faces lit up with joy at the sight of their son and grandson. Max's eyes widened in amazement as he took in the sight of his grandparents for the first time. "Wow, Dad, they look just like you!" Max exclaimed, tugging on Liam's sleeve. Liam laughed, feeling a swell of pride in his chest. "That's because they are family, Max," he replied, kneeling to Max's eye level. "And family is one of the most precious gifts we have."

Max nodded, his gaze never leaving his grandparents. With a shy smile, he took a tentative step forward, reaching out to take his grandmother's hand. "Hi, Grandma," Max said softly, his voice filled with wonder.

Tears welled up in his grandmother's eyes as she enveloped Max in a warm embrace. "Hello, sweetheart," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "We've been waiting so long to meet you."

Throughout their visit, Liam's parents showered Max with love and affection, filling the house with laughter and warmth. Together, they shared stories, played games, and created memories that would last a lifetime.

As they bid farewell to Liam and Max at the end of their visit, Liam's parents promised to return soon, their hearts full of love for their grandson and gratitude for the time they had spent together.

Watching them drive away, Liam felt a profound sense of gratitude for the love and support of his parents, and for the joy that Max had brought into their lives. And as he looked down at his son, who was waving enthusiastically at the departing car, Liam knew that their family bond was stronger than ever – a bond that would carry them through all of life's adventures, together.
