In a world on it's knees the dance of free flow sure was a privilege that we were glad to have, freedom gave out a propitious fragrance. Though we had to hide & fight if need be, being safe & together was a blessing others never saw.
Replaying through my memories & recalling back to the genesis of the invasion all I could think of was Chloe, so glad I did not leave on my own.

"Hey thunder...", Chloe said & she definitely made sure I knew it was me she had addressed as thunder.

At the time I was knitting up a scarf with some wool & knitting pin Hemi had found on one of it's recon. The name thunder was rather very disturbing that I lost my concentration, this action reaction led to me putting down the knitting pin & wool, thereafter I looked at Chloe's & there she was staring back at me, she appeared as a star awaiting for some reply which I gave her.

"Thunder...?", I said & my voice did have a confused melody when I said that, even my new facial mask gave a certain kind of confused expression. Chloe had a wild grin right after her brain interpreted the message conveyed & then she said, "well you know... thunder begets rain".

"That is so wrong but I'll take it since you look all cute... & yeah it is glad to see your white teeth all out Chloe".

The swift change was evil & demeaning, Chloe's facial expression went from love & light to a sassy girl wannabe & while she was in that motion she twitched her eye cover real fast but I unquestionably saw it in slow motion then Chloe asked, "are you going to be like that?"

A beautiful shield maiden; a female warrior blessed by the gods.

Chloe Raju, a beautiful intelligent woman moulded by a sentimental god, out of clay she came. Chloe's prowess was unchallenged, behind all the walls, entitlements, fears & formalities I got to see an ocean of rarity; who she became to me when all boundaries had been eliminated was an unparalleled unknown constant. I smiled at Chloe & replied what she had asked, "am I going to be like what?"

"Really Rain...", Chloe said & then instantly her white teeth all came out & it was just another memorable moment with Chloe.

Slip; an unexpected mistake.

The strangers had discovered our little world, the tiny space which we felt safe. The first attack on us was no sidewalk, it was a missile attack like we had heard in Hemi's stories.
Moments after the missile attack I regained consciousness but I was concussed, my head kept me in a loop where it sang a painful brainfelt tune & all I could hear was nothing, my auditory nerve was out of order at the time nevertheless I was glad I could still see. The cave's space was clouded with a thick fog of dust particles, every angle I turned to had free roaming brownish dust particles which made it hard to pinpoint Chloe exact location. As I walked sluggishly carrying one leg over the other with a concussed mind I pushed myself to shout out a bit & said, "Chloe!", I called out to Chloe a few more times but I got no response back from her. I had enough going on with me already but even with all that pain I could tell the sudden appearance of fear in me was because I was scared for Chloe's wellbeing. Travelling through the vacuum of fear I lifted my right hand to my face level, held unto my cheek with my thumb & index finger thereafter gave myself a wake up call by pinching down on my cheek hard till the pain reminded me that I was an artist whom worked well with man's greatest tool, 'the mind'.

The mind; the ultimate tool of reflection.

Dialing back to my origin where I lived & trained with my family, I revisited a memory where my dad said, "rather than run wild with a broken compass that's probably as clueless as you, you should own the space... after you have successfully owned it & you undoubtedly believe that the space & you are one, you should feel the power of the white Queen within you, use it like a Queen would". As a kid I could make no meaning of what dad always said, back in the old days all I cared about was the fisting & fighting, not untill I got redirected into a path which placed me in Padogan. The redirection unquestionably rewrote who I was as a person with the pain of being out of place, but I was glad I had listened to most of the words my dad had breathed into my soul even when I could not comprehend what any of it meant. My first year living with the Raju's & the pain remoulded me into dad's words, hence what you have today.

Embodied with the burden of love & worry, I had to neglect the physical pain that had shackled me down & find Chloe in a mist of dust particles. With the feeling behind every word my dad said as a guide I attempted to enact the white Queen but I could not get anything to happen.
Failure soured me up, I felt the negative energy in me grow exponentially, that was when I realized I could hardly breathe in the cave but then I thought to myself, "if I could hardly breathe then..."

*TRIGGER*

"I'm a Dai Li! & I'm no failure!"
I breathed into my soul after which I numbed the part of my body which hurt the most with chi-blocking. With my left leg out of the equation I could finally focus up & my concentration was rigid. Whilst I breathed in & out on a hard ground I slowly began to hear the sound of everything in the cave with a life force, at that point I knew I had attained the white Queen with a rigid & sturdy mindset. The ability to hear everything around you was indeed remarkable but with no time to waste I focused my hearing in look for a breathing being with an enormous life force.

The White Queen; the listener.

My compass was the real deal & in a few seconds I had found Chloe, the first thing I did was check her pulse, this action proved Chloe was fine but just unconscious. I was about to tilt Chloe's head in order to give her head a good posture when I felt thick liquid at the back side of Chloe's head, it was a tiny pool of fresh warm blood. Even though Chloe was bleeding I knew she would survive, I just had to find a way to carry her out the cave using the tiny hole because the main entrance had caved in due to the attack some minutes ago.

Following shortly after finding Chloe Hemi showed up in the cave using the tiny hole to gain access & the first thing Hemi did when it was in the cave was drop a metallic looking orb on the floor, the orb opened up & instantly it filtered the air in the cave by sucking up the all dust in the air & released clean breathable air. After this my sight was clear, I saw Hemi closing up the distance between us in a hurried pace & as soon as it was a feet or two beside me it shoot me with a weapon that stole my body's locomotive ability. What was this I had asked myself, I could see but nothing else worked & whilst I sat in my thoughts I noticed the abnormal speed at which Hemi used in getting me out of the cave using the tiny hole & the moment we got to the other side I heard another loud bang & I knew what had happened.

Tears; the specialized liquid the eye bends, it can be released for either a positive or negative reason.

Once we had gotten out of the cave Hemi had wasted no time in getting us out of that vicinity & whilst Hemi ran with a speed clearly faster than that of a horse with me on it's shoulder I felt my heart fold & my eyes poured continuously. Hemi's weapon had made my body speechless but it had no effect whatsoever on my inner most feelings.
