"When will this meeting start?" Kaiser's casual voice reached over at the other end of the line as he held the phone into his right ear.
"It should be on the last week of the month. Still getting the other details from your estate agent." One of his lawyers replied to him.
"Alright. Just let me know once it has been sorted out and I'll reach out to Ness for the meeting details over the property transfer to my name." Kaiser replied nonchalantly before he bid goodbye to his lawyer and ended his call.
"Sure. You sure you'll be the one who will reach out to Mr. Ness? We can have our team to do that." His lawyer suggested it to him.
"It'll be much faster if I do it." Kaiser replied simply.
"Right." His lawyer conceded, unable to speak out further when Kaiser got insistent like this.
"Okay if there's no more other things that I need to be made aware of, we can catch up some other day again." Kaiser said smoothly.
"Got that. Bye." His lawyer hung up and the call had already ended.
Kaiser stared at his phone.
An indecipherable look washed over his countenance as the impending meeting with Ness again filled his mind and senses.
With the way things were right now, talking with Ness seemed like his least favorable action but he knew it must be done.
Nevertheless, his mind couldn't help but to drift over to the other predicament that he had in mind.
It's been two days since his last talk with Sofia which led to an argument at her house. Ever since then there was a taut line of tension between the two of them although they kept their lovely act of being the picture-perfect couple together outside with the paparazzi hounding them left and right or if they're having a luncheon meeting with Sofia's friends and colleagues from her social stratum.
When it came to it, it wasn't hard for Kaiser to pretend and mold himself into another person in front of everybody when the situation called for it. It must be the genes of his mother whose talent lay in acting in front of the camera and different types of people. At least, he inherited something useful from his good for nothing biological mother.
However, Sofia was harder to tame. She's an independent, sophisticated woman with high standards around her. It's just not apparent because she was naturally a social butterfly and hadn't had any problems in chatting with people and being a good host. But once he got to know her better under one roof once they started living together, he found out that she was picky, high maintenance, demanding and prideful.
These days they're clashing heads. They're both not willing to give up each other after an intense argument. Sometimes just for the sake that the issue wouldn't get out of hand and will reach out to her father which was a bigger quandary to him, he would concede and tried to appease and coddle her which surprisingly works given how the woman herself was a bit clingy to him.
Kaiser could only heave a tired yet exasperated breath before he ran his fingers through his hair absentmindedly.
He didn't want to think about it for the meantime.
