A really chaotic morning

We were walking out of the great hall, ready to start our sightseeing trip of Hogwarts. The portraits we passed were looking at us, a curious expression on their painted faces.

After a short walk, we left Dean, Seamus and Hermione.
They had to get to the common room. The boys mumbled something about Snape, kill us and potion homework.
Quite funny though. Mione wanted to make sure that she has all books necessary for tomorrow.

"You're ready for the tour to begin?" Ginny asked, turning around and opening her arms.
"Sure can't wait." James deadpanned, having to memorise the building before we arrived.
"Sucks, doesn't it?" I whispered in his ear, a wide grin on my face.

His expression was to die for. Slightly, he shoved me in direction of the wall, mumbling a few insults under his breath.
I couldn't stop it and started to laugh, effectively interrupting Ginnys speech.

"Sorry!" I breathed out, glaring playfully at James.

Ginny led us through Arche walls, a lot of staircases up and beside huge antique looking windows.

"Where are we?" I asked confused.

"One hallway before the common room ." James answered, earning a look of disbelief from both Neville and Ginny.

"How?" She exclaimed." It took me two years to know the castle!"

"I still get lost sometimes...!" Neville piped up.

"Good memory." He said, it sounded more like a question though. He gave me a panicked look.
In return, I tried to smile reassuringly.

"Try to play memory with him. It's torture. He'll remember every pair and watch you lose countless times." Now Ginny and
Neville started laughing too.

"Well when it's time for monthly gryffindor game night, I'll make sure to exclude you." Neville joked in James direction.
"You're just scared to lose." He replied also having a wide smile on his face.

In this moment we stopped in front of the painting of a pretty lady in a white dress.

"This is the entrance to our common room." Ginny said:" This years password is ' Centaur ' "

At this word, the portrait opened, granting us entrance into a beautiful room.

The walls were the colour of crimson blood , the windows looking out into the forest and the quidditch field. A bunch of cozy looking couches and armchairs were scattered around, the huge fireplace was warming the room with a brightly lit fire.

"This looks so nice!" I complimented, walking to the windows. "I am sure it must be extremely cosy in fall and winter."
"That's so true!" Ginny said, carefully stepping around a bunch of first years who were starring around in awe.
"But let's get up and take a look at our bedroom!"

"These are the staircases. Right side is our dormitory, left is the girls." Neville explained." They can enter ours, but when we try to go up to them, the stairs turn into a slide."
"Who would try to break in their dormitory? Someone with a desire for hairstyling tools?"
"Hey! Not cool James! It is very important to have good looking hair. And at least we don't have dirty clothes on our floor..."
"At home you have a bunch of clothes on your floor though ..."
"It's called styling and having to decide what to wear."
"I am also stylish." He shot back.
I gave him an ' are you serious' look, which made him laugh. Well mission has failed.

Twenty minutes later we entered our dormitory. I saw my suitcases along with my broom and of course Attila.
"Hey Atti! Did the elves treated you well?" I petted his ears, only getting a tired growl in return.
Ginny stepped beside me, shifting my focus to the girls in the room.
