You had started wandering around aimlessly, occasionally stopping to play with a random slime you saw. At some point, you had begun to come to terms with the fact that the main storyline of the game you hold so dear hadn't started yet. Looking at the endless plains in front of you, you didn't recognize much, everything was so...unfamiliar to you. There were no statues of the Seven, no human constructs, you hadn't even seen a single hilichurl around. You decided to settle in a nearby cave, the giant green mountain in front of you somehow making your mind race as you entered the cave at its foot. You weren't sure what exactly you were yet, but your eyes quickly adapted to the dark environment surrounding you, pupils staying sharp like slits.
As you slowly progressed, slightly alert, since you didn't know anything about what was in this cave, you quickly found that light emitted from the end of the tunnel. Walking faster, your eyes closed instantly as a bright light hit them, before opening again, finding yourself in front of a breathtaking sight. You had just discovered a giant cavity deep inside the mountain, home to a whole ecosystem of its own. It somehow had a huge clear blue lake, above which were floating islands, you raised an eyebrow at that, but, considering all the mecanics in you knew of in Genshin, and the ones who were yet to be introduced, you quickly shrugged the oddity off as one of Teyvat's rules.
Continuing your observation, you noticed that some islands held whopperflowers and slimes, some had mini lakes which ended by dropping off the edge of the island in a small waterfall, the amount held in those small patches of water somehow never diminishing. You smiled as you looked at the fairy tale like sight, happy to have been transported here. That thought immediately brought back the question of isekai in your mind. You thought about it for a second, before deciding that your small bran couldn't handle the question and changing subjects automatically to your new body.
You decided to sit down next to the large underground lake, taking a look at your brand new features. You were definitely some type of dragon or vishap. Reminding yourself you could absorb and take elements like a geovishap, also noting the fact you hadn't seen any yet despite the lands outside the mountain being full of geo slimes and shiny cor lapis, you deduced they probably didn't exist yet, or at least, they were not above gound. You looked at your hands, the geo energy you absorbed earlier from the poor slime now gone, your hands back to a pure white, slowly fading away up until your elbow, you were strangely reminded of Zhongli's archon form, before moving on to your tail. It was scaly, a pure white all over it. You noticed your tail was quite thin compared to the depictions of occidental dragons, so you concluded you were inspired by oriental dragons, the tip ending in some sort of natural tree design. Switching to your pointy ears, you glossed over them quickly, and instead looked at your horns, before suddenly realizing your attributes were very similar to those of Imbibitor Lunae's in Honkai Star Rail, sadly never having played the game yourself before, you had however seen streams of the game and fanarts of the characters.
Having noticed the strange detail, you decided to name your species because, why not? After all, someone like you hadn't been hinted at or shown in Genshin Impact. Later on, having had a debate with yourself, you finally settled on a decent name : Primordial Dragon. You thought it sounded nice considering the various factors, like the fact that you're going to be pretty old once the main time line started, seeing as there were no towns around. Smiling sadly once realizing you wouldn't see your beloved characters until much later, you thought about what you were going to do, because, it's not like you just ended up in a completely different world, in a completely different body, with absolutely no humans around, right?
SIghing at the thought of being lonely, but still slightly excited about the new experience, you then thought about something. Surely there had to be some sort of system, you couldn't have just been dropped like this in the middle of nowhere with no help. You hesitantly spoke, sounding very cringe for saying this.
"uh, menu?" When nothing appeared you tried various different words, until you finally stumbled upon the perfect combination. "Character details!" Fed up, you blinked when a kind of menu appeared in front of you, showing you what you assumed to be your own stats and details.
【Character menu unlocked】
LEVEL 90/??
ATK : 2548
DEF : 792
EM : 741
ER : 154 %
CR : 50 %
CRIT DMG : 100%
Holy shit you were busted. As you checked everything, you could see that there were no artifacts, so maybe you would be saved from the RNG hell that is Genshin Impact. You also noticed that you had no weapon equipped, nor did you have one that was available, you guessed it was normal, since you're supposed to be some mythical beast. You assumed your crit stats would get better as you went on, but when you took a closer look at your level, you paused. This wasn't normal, you wouldn't have been surprised if the maximum level was 100 since you could be considered an enemy mob, but the question marks were downright terrifying. What if you could reach level 200? That would be way too broken. You were already terrified of your own raw stats, looking at your attack, you could pinch someone and cause internal damage to the poor person. Not even talking about your high defense for someone that was probably intended to be a DPS.
As you scrolled down, you saw your skills, and your eyes literally shone at the sight of such practical abilities.
𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖗 𝖆𝖇𝖎𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖎𝖊𝖘
Detailing (Lvl.1)
Insight (Lvl.1)
Hidden from all (Max)
Elemental Resonation (Innate ability, Lvl.10)
Draconic Strength (Innate ability, Lvl.20)
Elemental Breath (Innate ability, Lvl.10)
Elemental control (Innate ability, Lvl.10)
Welp, that pretty much confirms I'm a dragon of sorts. Some of these names were pretty self explanatory, so you instead clicked on the others for more details. You didn't get the difference between detailing and insight nor did you understad what 'Hidden from all' or 'Elemental control' really meant.
𝕯𝖊𝖙𝖆𝖎𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖌
'Details the objects you use the ability on.'
Hm. Logical.
𝕴𝖓𝖘𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙
'Gives you the detailed statistics of the character you use the ability on.'
Ah, so you were definitely meant to stay until the main plot.
𝕳𝖎𝖉𝖉𝖊𝖓 𝖋𝖗𝖔𝖒 𝖆𝖑𝖑
'Ability to mask your inhumane traits.'
Huh, well that would come in pretty handy, you were pretty sure dragons were not a common thing in the main plotline, even Neuvillette tried to hide the fact he was one... Emphasis on 'tried'.
𝕰𝖑𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖑 𝕮𝖔𝖓𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖑
'Ability to will the element you currently resonated with into anything.'
Now that is certainly OP. Did that mean you could make whatever you wanted..? Even with Geo, that's pretty damn cool if I were to say so myself.
As you exited the menu, you looked upon the lush environment around you, feeling strangely at ease. You decided, or rather your body did, as you could feel your eyes close themselves, to jump onto one of the floating islands. Finding a comfortable spot to pass the night, on some fluffy grass you found, your mind slipped off to a dreamless slumber.
