7) Forbidden Love - Louis

New Orleans, 1804

You and Louis had been secretly meeting up in a clearing in the for months now. You knew of his immortal being but it didn't put you off, you truly loved him and wanted to be with him but your father didn't approve. He said that Louis was strange and he didn't know his family so he could be anyone suspicious, maybe even a criminal.

Louis is no criminal, you know that. He loves you more than anything and would do anything to keep you with him forever. Your father's words did not stop you, despite being forbidden to see him. You tell him that you're going to a cafe to meet a friend for late night tea, but you meet Louis at the clearing.

One night in particular you go to the clearing, expecting him to be there but he wasn't. He is always there first at exactly 10pm. Why wasn't he there? Is he not coming? You sit underneath the tree and wait. Your eyes begin to get heavy and you rest your head against the trunk. The cooling breeze and the relaxing sound of the chirping crickets soothe you to sleep.

You don't know how long you were asleep for but you were suddenly awoken by soft and comforting arms lifting you and placing you on their lap. You open your eyes and are met with the most beautiful familiar emerald eyes. Louis' eyes.

You smile at him as does he.

"Sorry I made you wait my dear, I was caught up, there was a fight between two drunken men outside of my house and it was disturbing, too close to my front door"

"What did you do, did you stop it?"

He chuckles "Yes, I stopped it, gave them a good scare, probably scared them sober my love"

You smile, knowing that he used his vampiric skills to frighten them. You rest your head back on his chest and he strokes your hair gently.

"I've missed you Louis"

"I've missed you too my love"

"My father has been encouraging me to find love recently, threatening me with arranged marriage, I refuse every time he brings up the absurd topic, I can't imagine living my life with anyone but you"

He smiles and kisses your forehead.

"Y/n, you won't have to live a life with anyone else. Come with me, I've got two tickets for a boat journey to l Paris, Paris! You've always dreamed of living in Paris my love. Come with me, live a long and happy life with me in the most romantic city in the world"

You look at him, unable to give an answer.

"But... what about my family, my friends, my whole life is here"

"Y/n, I can give you the world, what's a life without being with the one you truly love, who truly loves you back. I can't just see you nightly, I want to be able to know that you're sleeping safe within my arms... please y/n"

You look into his desperate eyes. He's right, you don't want to live a life without him.

"Okay, I'll join you"

He smiles and pulls you into a tight embrace. He peppers your face with kisses and holds the back of your head as you laugh.

"Tomorrow Night, bring some of your belongings, not too much, just special things you want to bring, any clothes you want won't matter, I'll buy you whatever clothes you want when we arrive. We'll go straight to the ship and we will start our happy life together"

You practically launched into his arms and kissed him all over his face and neck, returning the attack of kisses. He chuckles as he holds you close to him.

"Go home darling, get some rest and meet me back here tomorrow at 8pm"

"Okay, goodnight"

"Goodnight sweetheart"

You walk away and rush home, excited to start your new life in Paris.
