The Girl That Waited (Jin x Zuko fanfic/AU)

Firelord Zuko

(POV: Jin)

After Lee, or as Jin had just learned, Zuko, explained what had happened, Zuko's friends seemed to understand very well. But. ..Jin felt as if her brain had just exploded. This was a lot to take in for her.
"Yeah, we were headed to the place that the Earth King saved for us. We're going to the upper ring."
Zuko said. Jin looked down. She kinda wanted Zuko and the others (even though she would prefer just her and Zuko) to come to the Firelight Fountain. She tried to hide her feelings because she felt that was selfish but it turned out ot was more obvious than she thought. The Water Tribe girl approached her, obviously trying to help cheer Jin up.
"Sooo, how did you meet Zuko?"
She asked.
"Well, he was a waiter at a tea shop. I first met him when he served me tea."
Jin replied. She didn't notice that she was blushing a little bit when talking about Zuko. Everyone else noticed though, glancing at Zuko. Sokka definitely seemed to notice.
"So was there anything else that happened in your relationship?"
He pressed.
Zuko and Jin looked at each other, a blush faded into their cheeks and Zuko started to walk away awkwardly. Jin ran to catch up to him.
"WAIT! Come to the Jasmine Dragon tomorrow!!"
She called. She then started to walk home cheerily, her green eyes bright as she walked back home.
