Zuko and Iroh are sitting on a carpet on the side of the street begging for spare change, Zuko is irritated by their position in life

"This is humiliating! We're royalty! These people should be giving us whatever we want." Zuko says angrily.

"They will if you ask nicely. Spare change for a hungry old man?" Iroh asks as a peseant girl hands him change in his hat. "The coin is appreciated, but not as much as your smile!"

As soon as she walks away, a man with dual broadswords on his back wanders up to Iroh and Zuko.

"How about some entertainment in exchange for... a gold piece?" The broadswordsmen says.

"We're not performers." Zuko says coldly.

"Not professional anyway." Iroh puts the hat down and stands up, swaying lightly as he begins to sing. "It's a long, long way to Ba Sing Se, but the girls in the city, they look so pretty!" Iroh sings.

"Come on, we're talking a gold piece here! Let's see some action!" The man shouts. Zuko glances up sharply as the man withdraws his swords. "Dance!" The man begins to slice the ground near Iroh's feet. Iroh hops up and down to 'dogde' the sword.

"They kiss so sweet that you really got to meet the girls from Ba Sing Se!" Iroh continues singing.

The man laughs, "Nothing like a fat man dancing for his dinner! Here ya go!" He tosses the coin on the ground.

"Such a kind man." Iroh says, as Zuko just glares at the man in anger.

Sokka is rubbing a whetstone against his machete, while Katara is studying a scroll. Aang stares at the swamp, and seems to be in a trance. Because of this trance Aapa moves down and Okna bumps into Sokka starting an small argument between them.

"Stop fighting!" Katara yells "Why are we going down?" Aang continues to stare,

"Aang!" Okna shouts, snapping him out his trance, "Why are we going down?"

"What? I didn't even notice." Aang admits

"Well, how about now?" Okna says

Katara moves to the front of the saddle to speak to him, "Is something wrong?"

"I know this is going to sound weird, but I think the swamp is calling to me." Aang admits to them.

"Is it telling you where we can get something to eat?" Sokka says holding his stomach.

"No, I ... I think it wants us to land there." Aang tells him.

"No offense to the swamp, but I don't see any land there to land on." Sokka says

"I don't know. Bumi said to learn earthbending I would have to wait and listen, and now I'm actually hearing the earth. Do you want me to ignore it?" Aang tells them.

Okna, Sokka, Katara, and Momo look over Appa's saddle down at the swamp.

"Yes" Sokka awnsers with no hesitation.

"I don't know. There's something ominous about that place." Katara agrees when Momo hides inside Appa's saddle as Appa groans.

"See, even Appa and Momo don't like it here." Sokka says

"I'm going to have to agree, Aang. I just don't think it's safe."

"Okay, since everyone feels so strongly about this, bye swamp." Aang shakes Appa's rope. "Yip, Yip!"

Appa groans and flies upward, away from the swamp. A tornado suddenly emerges from out of nowhere, heading right for Appa. Sokka, hearing something, turns around and finally sees it.
