It's been a month or so after Haerin transferred.

Gladly, her experience was getting better with each passing day, maybe.

The first three weeks were fine—everyone was getting along well, all laughs and rainbows.

At some point, Haerin even got to know Minji's friends, though not that much since the two of them would often spend time together, alone.

However, it didn't take long before she and Minji were slowly drifting away from each other.

Haerin found herself getting closer to Eunchae (the daughter of his father's friend) and Eunchae's circle of friends.

And it was not like Minji could do anything to keep Haerin by her side, she couldn't keep on following the brunette around since the younger had ordered her not to stick by her side all the time.

And Haerin said it so in a rather cruel way, 2 weeks ago.

"Stop following me around, Minji," Haerin grumbled.

Minji, who was unbothered and unmoved by her words, only shook her head. "No, Haerin. I can't let something bad happen to you," Minji worried.

"Why? Is it because of the scholarship Mr. Hong told you he'd forfeit if something went wrong?" Haerin asked—her hands on her hips.

How did Haerin know? The raven-haired girl didn't know what to say—she was put in a rather tight spot.

As if reading Minji's mind, Haerin scoffed. "I'm not deaf, Minji, I heard what he said to you back then,"

Trying to be as understanding as Minji could, she shrugged Haerin's mood off as 'Maybe Haerin woke up on the wrong side of the bed today', which obviously was the reason.

"It's not that, Haerin" She pleaded with the brunette.

"Either way, I want you to stop following me around. It's getting too obnoxious, you're suffocating me," Haerin sighed annoyingly, walking away from the older without a second glance.

And trust me when I say that Haerin was damn guilty for what she said; she could still see Minji's pained expression that day.

But she didn't dare to say sorry the next day.

Hence, why she's spending more time with Eunchae and her friends.

They're good friends though! Haerin just likes Minji's attention and pampering over theirs.

"Haerin, what's your lunch for today?" Eunchae asked her, sitting across from her.

The brunette shrugged.

Eunchae hummed and nodded understandingly.

As Haerin took out her lunch, the other girls settled down either beside her, or Eunchae.

And just as she was about to take a bite of her food, her eyes saw a familiar figure entering the cafeteria.

"Unnie! Please, help me this time, will you? I really need another pair of hands on this project," Hyein, a student, a friend of Minji's, and the student body Secretary who's just a year younger than them, was pleading with Minji and following her around.

"I already told you, Hyein. No! You know I don't like getting involved in any project the SBC has, or anything to do with the SBC in general!" She scolded the younger.

Hyein ran after her.

"Come on! This is the last time, please!"

"That's what you said a month ago, and then 2 months ago, and the months before that! Just ask someone else to do it for you or the council, Hyein. I'm not your guy...or girl," Minji sighed and patted the younger's shoulders.
