Okay so bots on TikTok weren't really a problem because TikTok moderators usually managed to keep them calm and on the low when people I think back in 2019 started realizing that there were these bots infiltrating TikTok with a pretty Asian girl profile picture and these bots would follow people, comment on people's comments sometimes with weird or sexual things and there were so many to the point were people claimed that they blocked over 100 of them. now people decided to check out these bots profiles and they found out that they would post these weird videos with the same exact Chinese song in the background (Song: Ye Hua Xiang) and in the videos preferably Asian women would test out products and in the corner there was usually text that said: "Click link in my bio to buy product" and then people started making a bunch of myths saying that if you would click the link it would grab your IP and lead to kidnappings but there is no record of anyone being kidnapped BUT people made videos warning other people not to click the link because of the myths but I think that this myth was debunked so yeah.
