Naomi pov

The next morning

"Good morning, Tsunade, did you rest well?". I said happily, I was hanging up the laundry as Muichiro and Yuichiro helped me, Tsunade walked out with a yawn and scratching her head.

"Kids are meant to sleep in while the adults work-".

"Do you see any adults around here? you must have eye problems, lady". Yuichiro retorted, she blinked.

"Wait, hold on, you mean to tell me that you three live all alone up here?". She questioned.

"Yes". Muichiro replied.

"No parent or guardian whatsoever?".

"I only have a father". I replied.

"He's no father to Naomi though, blamed her for something that wasn't her fault...".

"Muichiro, that's enough, it's not her business to know and you have no right to utter her personal life to a complete stranger!". Yuichiro scolded.

"It's fine, Yui, it doesn't bother me in the slightest...".

"It doesn't matter, we agreed to never speak of him, so be quiet, both of you!". He said firmly, we both pouted.

'Interesting'. She thought.

"Ok". We said.

"So sensitive, your easily triggered for a little boy as yourself-".

"We might know your name and where you come from, old lady, but you're still a stranger! so don't get comfortable in Naomi's home!". He said to her, still in a firm tone, she walked over.

"Please, I have a better chance in the forest, I'm a ninja trained for such situations, speaking on that, I need to speak with Naomi for a moment-".

"Not on your life! she doesn't go nowhere alone with you, not on my watch!". He said as he held me close to him, she rolled her eyes.

"So annoying- fine, I'll tell her with you both here, happy?". She said with a hand on her hip, I opened my eyes and looked at her, Yuichiro still holding on to me.

"What about?". I questioned.

"How about you become my apprentice?".

"Apprentice?". I asked, this time he let me go so I can face her directly.

"Yes, there's much you can learn from me. What's there to lose? Surely, you don't plan to stay here forever, do you? You're just scraping by, and frankly, I'm skeptical this shabby place will stand another five years before it collapses. We may hop from one place to another, but it beats living like this. You must concede that this life isn't serving you well. Wouldn't you prefer a better life, a higher income, and the means to purchase finer things for yourself?". She told me.
