"Nea, I missed you," I flinched when I heard a familiar voice behind me. Kumurap kurap ako, I haven't seen or heard about them for years.
Proudly standing, I saw a women wearing a fitted backless black dress partnered with her lowcut boots. The red lipstick she's wearing suits her, along with the sunglasses and a pair of loops earings. She definitely looks like a model.
"M-mariz," I can't believe I stuttered saying her name. Hindi naging maganda ang paghihiwa-hiwalay naming magkakaibigan, and that was the most regretful thing that happens to me.
Her eyes could tell me about what she's feeling right now, only if I could see it. Mariz's eyes has the most expressive eyes among our circle of friends.
I was about to order when I hear her call me.
I wondered what she's thinking. I wonder if she's mad at me, if they are. I abandoned them, I threw away the friendship that we've created just because I was lost.
"How are you," she asked, ang bawat salitang lumalabas sa kanyang bibig ay tila pinagkainga-ingatang banggitin. Umawang ang labi ko, I can't find the damn answer on her question.
I know it's overreacting, but I was just shock na iyon ang mga unang salitang namuntawi sa pagitan namin. I expect her to throw daggers of words, akala ko panunumbat ang una kong maririnig sa mga bibig niya.
"I-im fine, i-ikaw? kayo?," I asked. Tinanggal niya ang shades na suot, her eyes was totally visible now. She chuckled, her eyes was as calm as her words. Parang walang nangyari, she still stare at me as if I am one of the most precious thing in her life.
She sighed," You look tensed, please don't be."
I smiled, I immediately feel assured.
"Sinubukan ka naming i-reach out. We felt guilty for letting you go when we're the only one you can rely on that time," she said. I was surprised.
"W-what? Why would you? It was me, you don't have to feel guilty kasi lahat naman ng landas na tinatahak ko ay walang iba kundi aking desisyon,"
"We missed you so much, Nea," she said.
"I'm sorry,". People tends to say sorry everytime they do something that was inappropriate. But isn't it overrated to say sorry, just because you feel like saying it even if you don't even mean it?
