Before their parents could see them, they turned around in a speed of lightning facing their parents from the balcony entrance.
"We have to discuss an important matter" Jimin's mom said she said gesturing for them both to sit down on the couch, as they sat down, Jimin and hannah also sat down on the couch keeping distance between them.
"Hannah, Jimin, we have something important to discuss," Hannah's mother began, her tone unusually formal.
Jimin's father nodded, his face serious. "After much consideration, our families have agreed on a wonderful arrangement. You two will be getting married."
The shock was immediate and palpable. Hannah's eyes widened, and Jimin's jaw dropped. They exchanged a look of disbelief.
"Married? To each other?" Hannah blurted out, her voice tinged with disbelief and frustration.
"Yes," her mother said, her tone leaving no room for argument. "Our families have been friends for years, and this union will strengthen our ties. It's a great honor and opportunity for both of you."
Jimin tried to speak but found himself at a loss for words. "But... we don't even like each other."
"I know this is sudden," Jimin's father said, "but we believe that this is what's best. Sometimes, the best relationships are born from unexpected beginnings."
Hannah felt a surge of frustration. "But this is insane! We can't just be forced into this."
Her mother gave her a firm look. "It's not up for discussion. We've made our decision, and we expect you both to honor it."
With the matter settled, Hannah and Jimin were left to come to terms with their new reality. Their parents were adamant, and any attempts to argue or refuse were met with the same unwavering response: "This is what's best for both families."
As the days turned into weeks, Hannah and Jimin found themselves thrust into the whirlwind of wedding preparations. They had to attend dress fittings, taste cakes, and plan the ceremony—all while trying to maintain some semblance of civility. Every interaction was marked by underlying tension, though they both managed to keep their frustrations hidden from their families.
One evening, as they were both forced to sit through a pre-marital counseling session, Jimin broke the silence. "So, this is really happening, huh?"
Hannah sighed, rubbing her temples. "Looks like it. I still don't understand why we have to go through with this."
Jimin shrugged. "Me neither. But I guess we're stuck with it."
They spent the rest of the session in a strained silence, their shared predicament creating a strange bond between them. Though they still loathed each other, they couldn't deny the common ground they now shared.
The wedding day dawned clear and bright, the sky a crisp blue with the promise of a beautiful ceremony. The house was bustling with activity as the final touches were put in place. Hannah and Jimin were both in their respective rooms, preparing for the day that would change their lives forever.
Jimin stood in front of the full-length mirror, adjusting his sleek black suit. He looked every bit the handsome groom, his usually unruly hair neatly styled and his face freshly shaven. He could hardly believe that he was about to marry Hannah, of all people. The suit was a perfect fit, the tailored lines emphasizing his tall, athletic build. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves.
Meanwhile, Hannah was in her own room, surrounded by the intricate bustle of her wedding gown. The dress was a vision of classic elegance: a flowing gown with a fitted bodice and an A-line skirt that cascaded gracefully to the floor. The absence of straps over her shoulders gave it a sophisticated yet ethereal quality. As she stepped into the gown, the fabric seemed to embrace her, accentuating her figure in a way that felt both beautiful and surreal.
When she emerged from her room, a soft knock at Jimin's door signaled that it was time for him to see his bride. Hannah hesitated for a moment before stepping into the hallway, her heart pounding. Jimin, now adjusting his bow tie, glanced up as the door creaked open.
His breath caught in his throat as he saw Hannah standing there, bathed in the soft glow of the morning light. The gown fit her perfectly, hugging her curves just enough to highlight her elegance without overshadowing her natural beauty. The open shoulders added a delicate touch, and the way the gown flowed around her made her look almost otherworldly.
Jimin's eyes widened slightly, his usually stoic expression softening. For a moment, the animosity and tension that had defined their interactions seemed to dissolve. Instead, he found himself taken aback by how striking Hannah looked.
Hannah, noticing the change in Jimin's demeanor, felt a rush of self-consciousness. "How do I look?" she asked, her voice tinged with nervousness.
Jimin swallowed hard as he remebered he should not be catching feelings for hannah as she was his rival. "You look fine" he said with a bore tone.
Hannah rolled her eyes, "i know i look more than fine"
Jimin scoffed, "yeah, keep dreaming..im better than you" He said with a smirk.
