The beautifully Victorian-laden woman gently pets Cornell's head, looking down at her sibling and his wife in the lake. "Should I even ask what happened to my dear nephew?" Al grunts stubbornly but sighs seeing that they hopefully aren't in danger anymore. He gets out of the lake and helps his wife out as well. "Can we get somewhere warm and eat before delving into that please...?" Al looked ready to pass out right in front of her and Meena didn't look too far from that either.
Concerned yet controlled she opens her black umbrella up, so that her brother cannot notice the concern on her face. "Help your wife over to my cabin and we'll discuss things there.... AFTER you get warm and have something to eat" she leads the way with little Cornell resting his head on her shoulder. Al puts an arm of Meena's over his shoulders before following his sister he looks back at the lake. Tauren was still there passed out floating on top of the water. "Tsk..."
"Ada, thanks for taking us in... even if it is for a short time" Al showed his gratitude after realizing he forgot to thank her for the convenience of a nice hot shower. His sister was by the fireplace with her nephew resting on her loveseat. Knelt down watching over him, she gently pets his head in comfort. "No, I think that I should be thanking you."
Confused he takes a sip of his ginger tea waiting for her to continue. Facing him finally she gestured towards her nephew with a nod of her head. "You never got around to letting me see him again after he was born" ending with a frown on her otherwise stoic face. Taking another sip of his tea he gives her a bit of a glare, "Don't give me that. You're never in one spot. Heck we had to run one hundred miles and i didn't expect you to be at the lake. Call it, right place right time."
With the crackle of the fire in the background and the logs falling into place as the older wood turns to ash, was as smooth as her movement arming herself with her umbrella as if it's a sword. The pointed end a inch away from Al's nose, "You never change little bro. I should whack some sense into you." Finishing his tea, using a finger he pushes the end of the umbrella back gently. "I think we're too old for family squabbles."
Silently she pulls her umbrella back, "I guess we are... Good thing you didn't kill Tauren back there. I'd be out a guard dog and even though there's plenty of good help out there, but I like how one track minded he is." Seeing a chance to take a stab at her stoic nature his lips curled mischievously, "Oh don't tell me you finally decided to settle down?"
WHACK!
As if lightning struck, Al was struck on the top of his head with her umbrella. He didn't see a muscle of hers jerk, but by the time he blinked from the pain she was already on her feet. "Ow! You mongrel!!" he bends over rubbing his head in pain soothing it from her attack. "You sound like Grandmother..." she begins to walk away from him and stops before going down the hall of her cabin. "Go check on your wife. The both of you were in pretty bad shape." The only light came from the fireplace as the rest of the cabin had the lights off. So the shadows were dancing throughout the open floor.
