5 - "i missed you"

woong has been cooped up in her room trying to figure out the best way to put the 7 men behind bars.

after her conversation with jay ended, she couldn't help but overthink her own actions just for the sake of the another innocent person.

as she indulged herself in her thoughts, the door creaked open revealing a bright sunoo.

sunoo noticed that woong didn't even look back at him which means she wasn't actually aware of her surroundings.

"hey" sunoo voiced out but woong paid no attention

"woong?" he inched closer but still woong didn't say anything nor move

sunoo placed his hands on her shoulder, "hey, are you ok?"

woong, finally breaking away from her bubble of thoughts, flinched as she peered over her shoulders

"oh...sunoo"

act normal

"are you ok?" sunoo crouched next to woong as she mindlessly nodded, "i'm fine"

sunoo knew her well enough to know that she was lying but he wouldn't press on that.

sunoo's and woong's relationship was complicated that what it had seemed. sunoo respected her way too much.

sunoo was fucked.

he knew that much.

the way his parents never answered the calls and he has no one else other than his family. his extended family never bat an eye at him - naming him the outsider of the family.

sunoo sat by the corner watching as the officers walked past the cell - laughing, eating and busy on their paperwork.

sunoo didn't do anything bad, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. he was by the club, in search of his friends but the club in specific was infamous for their drug use - which sunoo has no idea of. the police had set up an operation and he was simply caught
for being underage.

he was hoping his parents would at least help him for the sake of their business. however none came.

sunoo sighed as he looked around and met eyes with a girl that was probably around the same age as he is. she was happily having a conversation with one of the officers.

"who is that guy in the cell alone?" woong asked

"oh - your uncle caught him during their raiding at the club. he's in there because he's underage"

"why isn't his parents picking him up?"

"i don't know...they won't even answer the phone. i kinda feel bad for him"

"can't we just release him?"

"he needs a guardian or someone who knows him to sign the papers"

"can't i just do it?"

"you're not of age...!" woong shrugged as she was already making her way to the counter

sunoo now sat in front of the girl as she grinned at him, "how old are you?"

"...16..."

her grin seemingly got wider, "we're the same age! hi! i'm  woong! what's your name?"

"sun...sunoo..."

"hmm...don't be shy! i'm not a snitch!"

sunoo nodded, spoon fiddling with his gukbap.

"aren't you eating? this place is the best! you should come here often! if you tell the owner that we're friends, you'll get a discount"
