There are two mazes; one with only girls and one with only boys. What would happen if those two mazes find eachother?
I was casually working my job as a track-hoe when my best friend Aria came up to me with a huge smile on her caramel coloured face.
''Guess what'' She beamed. ''What is it?'' I smiled back at her. ''I have been chosen to be a runner!'' She jumped up and down while telling me the news. ''Oh my God! That's amazing, I'm so happy for you!'' I stood up to jump with her, we hugged and I congratulated her with her new job.
At dinner Aria and a few of my other friends talked about our day which wasn't very interesting but it was still nice. Aria was still over the moon about her new job which she has absolutely every right to.
''I hope you find some useful stuf in the maze, maybe because of you we will finally be able to leave this god awful place.'' Aris said in a somewhat irritated voice. ''Yeah me too.'' I understand why Aris suddenly got irritated, I mean he is the only boy in this whole place. I would be mad too if I were stuck with only boys and not being able to contact any girls. We all wish we could leave this place, the people who put us here left us with nothing but our name some clothes and a headache from being shaken by the box we came in.
When I lay in my hammock I think about what life would be like outside the maze, would it be alot more different than the glade? Are there more boys than just Aris? With those questions still burning in my head I finally fall asleep just like the rest of the girls plus Aris.

Usually when I wake up the first thing I see is Aria's happy face infront of mine waiting for me to wake up. Today was a different story, since Aria got the job as a runner she has no time to wake me up in the mornings. It makes me sad because now I have to wait an entire day before I can see her again. But when she comes back from her usual route in the maze she's always happy, she always has a smile on her face and because of that I become happy too. I don't think I could survive without her.

It has been two months since Aria bacame runner and there has not been found anything useful. I wish I could do anything to help but I'm just a track-hoe. Aria also hasn't been as happy as before and it pains me to not see her smile.
I think I lost all my hope of getting out of this stupid maze.

The runners decided to switch up routes today, it gives me a little bit of hope again. today was no different from another; I wake up, eat breakfast, go work in the gardens, eat lunch, take a little nap in the forest, think about life, work in the garden a bit more, eat dinner.
Except today Aria came back extremely gleeful. At first I was so confused but I decided to ask her about it at dinner.
Dinner came sooner than expected and I couldn't wait to ask Aria about her happy expressions. After getting my food and sitting down at our usual table my friends joined me. while eating I decided to ask Aria my questions.
''What's with you being so happy today?'' I asked her with a smirk on my face. ''I think I might have found a way out.''
