''I think I might have found a way out.''

Arias words are still very clear in my head. I couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth. Is there still a possibility that we could make it out of here? Before dinner I had already given up hope and started to accept the fact that we are indeed trapped inside a ginormous maze with no exit, but now that Aria brought this fantastic news I found a little bit of new hope. ofcourse I still think that there is no way out but it is a comforting thought.

still not being sure of her words I asked ''What do you mean you might have found a way out?'' ''I mean exactly what i just said. I think I have found the exit behind a thick wall of vines so tomorrow me and the other runners are going to take a better look at it.'' She beamed at me.

The following morning i woke up extra early so I could say goodbye to Aria and the other runners. When I arrived at the still closed doors I saw the runners warming their muscles up for the long run. After watching them for a few minutes they stopped and headed towards the big opening of the maze, while waiting for the doors to open i walked up to Aria hugging her from behind scaring her a little. ''Ready for your big adventure?'' I asked still hugging her. ''Yes more than ready I'm so excited, I really hope it is something that could help us.'' ''Yeah me too.''

A few minutes passed and the doors opened and the runners were gone, I wished them luck and gave everyone one last hug. After waving them goodbye I got on my way to the gardens to do my own job. 

At lunch I sat with Aris and a few of my other friends nothing ever happens around here so we didn't have that much to talk about but it was still nice to spend time with them.

In the afternoon before dinner I decided to take a nap. But when I awoke Aria stood before me with a weird expression. After I got used to the light I asked her what was wrong. 

''you know the thing I thought might be our way out?'' Se asks fiddling with the hem of her t-shirt. ''Yes what about it?'' I began to feel slightly concerned, what if it wasn't a way out but just a distraction from the creators. ''It is a door... But we haven't opened it yet.'' ''Oh my God really so this might mean that we could escape.'' I began to feel hopeful again this is the first positive news I have received since I got here. ''I wanted to ask you if you would want to go with me tomorrow to open it. Along with others who want to come ofcourse.'' At first I was skeptical because I have never stepped a foot inside the maze so I was scared of what might be inside but fast enough those feelings went away when I reminded myself that I would be going with people who know the maze like the back of their hands. ''Yes I would love to join you!'' I exclaimed.

We have been running for quite some time now and my feet are beginning to hurt. Aria keeps reminding me that we're almost there but she has been saying that for the last ten turns.

the maze was a lot different from what I expected, the tall walls were covered in thick vines and instead of being very densely built there was quite some space in between the walls so there was enough light for us to see where we were going.

finally we came to a stop by a wall that had, unlike the others, a lot more vines on the bottom. A big amount has been chopped down by the runners who inspected the door-like object yesterday but there were still a lot intact. While examining the wall i put my hands on my knees to catch my breath.

The stop took about ten minutes before we decided to open the door. we all stood in a circle around Sasha who we decided is going to open it. ''Ready?'' Sasha asked. ''Three... two..'' I hold my breath when she twisted the doorknob ''One'' With some force she managed to open the door and when we looked inside we were shocked.
