The day after arriving back at Bobby's, I get out of bed at six. Today's Sunday, which means I need to leave before anyone else gets up. I get dressed. Not into anything fancy, given that I'm going to be changing in about twenty minutes anyways. Just jeans and a T-shirt.
I do my makeup and grab my bag to make sure I have everything that I need before walking very quietly downstairs. I hear Dean snoring loudly from the couch.
Good. That'll make it easier for me to open the door without getting caught. I go to grab the door handle when a voice makes me jump out of my skin.
"Where are you off too?"
I jolt and turn around to see Sam standing there in his pajamas with a cup of coffee.
"Woah, easy. It's just me."
"Jeez, Sam. Don't freaking do that." I whisper yell. "I'm going to the library for a while. I'll be back after lunch." I lie smoothly.
Sam furrows his brows and looks at his watch.
"At seven in the morning?" He asks.
"There's less people there this early."
Sam thinks about this for a minute before nodding.
"That makes sense. What's in the bag?" He asks, nodding to my backpack.
"My gun, my knife, drawing supplies. You know, the essentials." I shrug.
He chuckles a little before nodding.
"Alright. Be safe." He says before walking back to the kitchen.
I nod before walking out the door and to my car. I decide it's time for some good music so I reach in my glove box and pull out a Green Day CD and put it in my player. I listen to it the whole way. I haven't driven this way in a very long time, but it's nice.
I pull into the first gas station I come to and walk inside with my duffel bag to the restroom which thankfully is a single stall and lock the door before opening my bag and pulling out the actual clothes I'm going to wear for the next few hours.
I put on the only pair of pants I own that don't have holes which are a pair of black slacks and change my shirt, putting on a dark red button-up. I roll the sleeves up to my elbows and leave the last few top buttons open before putting on my Doc Martens and adding a few chain necklaces and a bracelet on my right hand. I check myself in the mirror, put my hair up in a ponytail, and decide I look decent before putting everything back in my bag and walking back out to my car and throwing the bag in the trunk. After another ten minutes of driving, I finally arrive, and sit in my car for an hour until it's finally time to go in.
"Ms. Connor! It's so good to see you."
I turn and greet her with a smile.
"Good Morning, Nancy. It's good to see you too." I say, shaking her hand.
"How have you been, honey?" She asks, her fake pearl necklace glistening in the colored sunlight coming through the stained glass windows.
"I've been good. Super busy with work."
"I hear that. It is a shame that you have to work every other Sunday though. Between you and me, I think we should bring back the rules of not working on the Sabbath." She says laughing.
I humor her and give her a dry laugh before walking towards the sanctuary.
"Good morning, Harley. How are ya, darlin'?" Mr. Andrews asks, coming over to me and handing me a bulletin.
