Miami, Florida One of Kianna's childhood home. ✹
"You're up early" Kianna commented putting the brown mug to her lips, the steam making her more tired than she already was. "I went for a run" Kio responded, his tone was flat. He opened the refrigerator door reaching for the eggs. Kianna knew something else was bothering him.
Kio stayed vocally quiet turning on the stove, whistling the soft tunes of his favorite song. "Can we just talk about this?" Kianna asked, Kio didn't respond he continued cooking avoiding eye contact. "Kio it's not what it looked like"
"You know what's funny after her scrawny ass left I thought you would have some common sense to never accept her back into your life" Kio spoke.
Anybody could tell by his body movements and his light brown eyes turning dark he was disappointed. "I didn't respond to her, I blocked her number.. again" she explained, "there is no me and AJ, she's been out of my life for years and -
"It would stay that way" Kio finished her sentence, "I heard that one before" he mumbled.
By now the siblings were facing each other their face expression hardened. Felt like King Kong and Godzilla were in the room the way the bold tension grew. "Now I would like to finish cooking my breakfast in peace" Kio turned around.
Kianna rolled her eyes exiting the kitchen, but was quickly met Desirae who had a big smile on her face, in her hands was the dress she was going to be wearing on her big day. Just two days away.
"Why do you guys look like that?" Desi questioned setting her dress on the black dining table, the dress was beautifully covered in clear packaging. The diamonds shined through the clearness of the plastic, if Desirae wasn't in love with her future husband she sure was in love with the dress. "Like what?" Kianna glanced at Kio his stubborn ass she thought.
"Like you guys want to kill someone..please don't tell me you guys are mad at each other" Desiree said looking between her siblings, usually the two would be play fighting and joking with each other..but you could tell something was off.
"We're not. I was just about to feed my baby sister, right Ki?" Kio sarcastically said ending his sentence off with a tight smile, putting the plate of eggs on the island table. Kianna glared at him, "I hate eggs"
"Aww then I guess I'll keep it for myself" Kio said quickly snatching the plate and exiting the kitchen, Desirae sighed. "You two get into arguments at the worse time"
Kianna emptied out her mug putting it in the dishwasher, "are you gonna tell me what happened?" Desi asked sitting on the counter looking at Kianna who was leaning against the sink. Kianna let out a deep sigh, summer was starting off interesting.
