I was arguing with my Mom about the electives I chose this semester because I decided to try singing but she insisted that I change it to early business preparation. But, thank god dahil dumating sina Kevin, Lance at Zach, tinakot sila ni Mommy pero hindi na sila natinag dahil we've been friends since yeah I don't know at sanay na silang sinusungitan ng nanay ko. "Bakit ba kayo nandito?" tanong ko habang palabas kaming apat sa bahay, "Dude aminin mong natuwa kang dumating kami dahil sa nag-away na naman kayo ng nanay mo." sabi naman ni Lance sakin, I just tapped him at the back. "Where are we going?" tanong ko, gamit namin ang kotse ni Zach kaya nagsiksikan kami sa blue niyang 4by4 na truck.
"May underwear fashion show kasi ngayon na mangyayari sa hotel namin kaya syempre share the blessings kaya ininvite ko na kayo mga pre." I just rolled my eyes sa sinabi ni Kevin. "Kaya ka namin mahal eh." sabay naman na sigaw ni Lance and Zach. "Gian naalala mo si Kenna? Ang event na mangyayari ngayon sa hotel nila Kevin ay ang Makenna Fancy fashion show, pamilya ni Kenna ang may-ari niyan at sila ang number one na competitor ng Victoria's secret. As you've heard it's named after Makenna kaya baka makita mo ang Mommy niya dun kaya manghingi ka na ng number." binatukan ko si Zach kaya napaungol siya sa sakit. "I wanna leave her alone kaya stop being the cupid." sigaw ko at napikon na lang on our way to the event.
Pagkapasok namin sa hotel ang dami ng tao sa loob, investors and other business people are here. I've heard of Makenna Fancy but I didn't know it was Kenna's family dahil mahiyain siya masyado. My mom adores MF clothing line kaya mukhang pamilyar na ako na mga brief at panty talaga ang famous merchandise nila. Naupo kaming apat sa pinakauna since si Kevin ang may-ari ng hotel kaya sponsor siya. "Dude, balita ko ang daming chicks na sobrang gaganda ng katawan ang models dito, you know breasts and butts." Zach sounds like a pervert and you'll get used to it.

Just sit back and enjoy the show." pagkatapos sabihin nun ng emcee at nagsilabasan ang mga lalaking nakasuot ng MF Jeans the mga babaeng nakasuot ng MF jeans. Then models who are wearing MF dresses and shirt and other accessories hanggang sa unti unti silang naghuhubad. Male models wearing MF boxers and underwears then girls. "Shit dude that's your ex-girlfriend, she has really nice breasts." perverted na naman na sabi ni Zach. Lance, Kevin and Zach we're just drooling but not until when lumabas siya.
Kenna came out wearing a silvery brassiere at panty. Napalunok ako sa nakita ko, s-she arrrgghhh, hindi ko namalayang tumayo na ako sa kinauupuan ko and she noticed me at nakita kong mukhang siyang nagulat na makita ako dito but she kept doing what she had to do. "What's going on Makenna?" tanong ko sakanya, "Naaalala mo na?" tanong niya sa tanong ko kaya tumango lang ako as my answer. "A model backed out 5 minutes ago dahil inatake sa puso ang tatay niya and I just had to do it, at sabi naman ng mga designer na I was perfect for it." sabi niya habang yakap yakap ang sarili. I saw a tear from her eyes pero pinunasan niya rin agad, I told her na hihintayin ko siya at ihahatid ko siya sa condo niya. She came out wearing shorts and a tank top with a cardigan on top. Sumakay kami sa bus, we didn't talk on the way.
"Sama ka na." napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi ni Kenna, she wants me to come in, in her condo. "But.." she cut me off, "We have a lot of catching up to do Gian it's been like 5 or 6 years." and then again, like she always does hinila niya yung wrist ko and she used to do this when we were grade 6. Her condo smelled like bubble gum scented candles. Baby pink at baby blue and theme ng condo niya, she loved those colors ever since I met her. "Sit down." she said that in a weird manner pero umupo na lang ako. One thing that's weird about Kenna ay never siyang nagtatanong kung anong gusto ko, she knows me so much I just hate but love it at the same time.
She gave me a bottle of sprite which again is my favorite softdrink. "Gian, tell me about something that changed, dahil you know you still love sprite and iced caramel macchiato. How about Sapphire?" I kind of let out a HUH, "Well, she broke my heart. Sapphire Cruz is a heart breaker." napipikon ako everytime I remember Sapphire pero nagulat ako nung....
"Gian, naalala mo yung kinanta ko sayo nung Grade 5 tayo?" she asked me with that smile at wala sa isip akong tumango, "I promised you na pag laki natin hindi na ako sintunado." then she just started singing, *Ewan ko bat mahal kita, bakit ba laging hanap ka, kelan mo makikita na in love ako sayo wala ng iba*
That moment when she sang in front of my eyes was enough to make a guy fall in love with her pero nung lumingon ako sa center table I saw tons of pictures of her and Devin. Yeah that's right, may nagmamay-ari na sa kanya. "Huy ano na? Ang ganda na ng boses ko noh? Hahaha it's so funny that everytime I hear that song mapapatango na lang ako and say, oh yeah I did fall in love with Gian Devrey." yeah you DID. After all these years bakit ngayon ko lang naramdaman ang panghihinayang na pinakawalan ko ang babaeng nakangiti sa harap ko ngayon. I guess we were young but no she made a promise to love me forever but she didn't dahil binalewala ko siya.
She could've been mine, but I didn't give her time to fulfill all her promises to make me love her. Regret is what I'm feeling right now.
