Chapter 5 KSI Infiltration

Moonlight POV

I was able to convince my older brother to return to the hideout, stopping him from killing Ironhide to avoid drawing attention from the public. I managed to find Optimus chasing Ironhide at a construction site without getting notice somehow.

The following day, after returning to base, Cade was able to obtain the photograph of a KSI ID card, and Bumblebee made him a fake ID with his picture on it so he could go inside the building every day to collect information. Following the information gathering, it was decided that Cade, Shane, and Bumblebee would enter the building tomorrow.

The twins, who had exhausted themselves during the day on a ride with Drift, were comfortably asleep on our lap, while I was sitting down and cuddled with Ironhide. Cade cleared his throat as he observed his daughter and her boyfriend making out on a old couch that we found earlier today. 

"Um excuse me? There's no smooching in front of me, okay?" Cade told Tessa, who quickly sat up and Shane held his hands up.

"You're so square. Who even says "smooching"?" Tessa asked her Father in a displeased tone, making me laugh.

"How about a Father who hasn't had any action in years?" I teased the older male human in the room.

"Hey!" Cade turned to face me and yelled, only causing the others in the room to laugh.

"I tell you, no respect. It's just impossible sometimes" Cade remarked to Optimus, who was leaning against a pillar.

"Yeah. I went through that with Bumblebee on Earth and Moonlight on both Cybertron and Earth" Optimus remarked.

"Oh, please. It's unfair. I wanted to live a little while I was still young. It's not my fault that you and Megatron were so boring all the time" I remarked, causing the others to laugh at my pathetic attempt at defending.

*TIME SKIP*

The following morning, after everyone had finally woken up, Cade, Shane, and Bee left the hideout to enter KSI. I saw poor little Shane enter the car trembling before take off. I could literally smell his anxiety stage a mile away. Hopefully, he won't ruin it for everyone. 

At the moment, we were all waiting outside far away from humans on our alt-mode for Cade to report to us. I was in my alt-mode besides Optimus and Ironhide, and on the other side sat Hound, Crosshairs, and Drift, with Tessa on his alt-mode. Next to Drift, the twins were waiting in their alt-modes. I didn't completely trust Drift, but I did trust him more than I did Crosshairs and Hound with the twins.

Soon after, Bumblebee and Shane arrived back, and Shane immediately exited the alt-mode and ran to Tessa. Around that time, Cade gave us a call.

":: Hey, I'm in. Can you see my camera?::" Cade asked. Using the KSI drone that he had modified for himself, he was able to show us the interior of KSI. I rapidly saw something that I wish I could have unseen when I watched the video that was being projected on our visions.

":: They're melting Ratchet::" Cade stated as Ratchet's head was seen melted by laser weapons in the footage.

"THEY SLAUGHTERED RATCHET!" Optimus cried fiercely as he transformed and rammed a fist into a nearby lamppost, "I'm gonna tear them apart!"

"Well, not if I tear them apart first" I responded and revved my engine fast. I was the first to rush to the KSI building, with the rest trailing closely behind. I noticed the twins closely following Ironhide.

":Hey, twins, stay close to your Sire or Optimus and don't even think about running away, I mean it:" I said in a threatening voice since I knew exactly where those two would end up if I didn't. My two little ones just gave me two gentle "okay, Carrier" since they were scared by the tone of my voice. I was so angry and felt awful for addressing them in such a serious manner at that moment, but I had to. My body's Energon was bursting with rage.
