Dinner to Nights in bed

Taraji's POV:

Today Is finally the day. The cast of The Color Purple are meeting up for the first time to get to know each other and get ready for filming. I don't know why but I am super nervous. I'm normally excited about meeting new people but something is telling me it's going to be different.

I looked at my phone to check the time. It was only 3 P.M. and I didn't have to leave until 5:30. It doesn't take long for me to get dressed so I decided to take a quick nap. I woke up about 30 minutes later and got ready for this dinner.

I went to turn the shower on to get it hot. I definitely need a hot shower to calm my nerves. While I let my shower get hot I went and picked out an outfit. I got into the shower as I let the hot water run all over my body. I stayed still for a while, letting the water relax my nerves. Then I grabbed my Dove body wash, washing my body.

I got out of the shower and wrapped myself up in a towel, grabbing my body oils out of the drawer. Walking in my room, I sat on the bed, dropping my towel. Just as I was about to open my oil my phone lit up. Looking down I saw it was Fantasia. I smiled and placed my phone on the dresser making sure not to show my exposed body.

“Hey fanny” I squealed.

“Hey T, you ready?

“I just got out of the shower, but you know it doesn't take me long. Are you there yet?” I said slipping on my undergarments.

“Pulling in the parking lot now. Hurry up because you know I don't like being alone.” She said, Fantasia has always been my little baby. For example if we were going to a party together and I was running behind, she wouldn't walk in the door until I was with.

“All I have to do is get dressed and do my makeup. I'll go as quickly as I can, but I should be done in 30 minutes.” I said

“Okay well Hurry up.” She said looking out the window. She's always so nosey.

“What you looking at, Nosey self.” I said, making her giggle. By now, all I had to do was zip up my dress, comb out my curls, and put my shoes on. I wasn't going to put on makeup because Ihave the most beautiful natural skin! Ugh you wish you were me huh?

“I'm trying to see if anyone is here yet. And why is it taking you so long, T!” She said, whining. See what I mean, my little baby. Lord have mercy on me!

“Ok Fanny, I'm almost done. I should be there in the next 30 minutes, okay?” I said, putting my shoes on.

“Okay well I'm going to call Kendall to talk to my baby girl quickly.” She said, moving the camera around.

“Alright, tell my kizzy pooh, I said hey and I love her!” I said.

“Okay, see you when you get her, T.” She said sending smooches through the phone.

“Okay see you, Fanny!” I sent smooches back to her, hanging the phone up.

I finished my look and went to the bathroom to do my hair. All I had to do was comb it out. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I'm all about meeting new people, but for some reason I'm just so nervous.

I finished up and headed to my car. Lord, I hope this dinner goes right.
