Water's Lament
I am Water, fluid grace, in rivers, lakes, and seas,
From tranquil ponds to ocean depths, I move with gentle ease.
I carve the land with patient touch, shaping what I find,
A mirror to the heavens, reflecting humankind.
I tumble down from mountain heights, a cascade pure and free,
In rain, I cleanse the dusty earth, in snow, a symphony.
Through veins of ancient rivers, I nourish land and life,
Quenching the world's endless thirst, amidst both peace and strife.
In whispers of the morning dew, on petals soft and fair,
In roaring waves that kiss the shore, with salty, briny air.
I cradle ships upon my waves, from sails to silent drift,
I am the path to distant lands, the ever-present gift.
In stormy tempests fierce and wild, I show my might and power,
In gentle streams, a soothing balm, to calm the darkest hour.
From tears of joy to sorrow's weep, I hold emotions true,
In every drop, a story told, in crystal clear or blue.
Yet heed my depths with caution, for secrets lie within,
I am the Water, timeless force, the origin of sin.
But also the bearer of life, the source where dreams begin,
In endless flow, forevermore, the pulse beneath your skin.
