"Mommy! Mommy! Can you play with me while Daddy goes hunting?" A little dragon asked.

The female dragon turned her head to the hatchling and smiled.

"Well I don't see why not." She said happily.

The hatchling jumped for joy and then dashed into the cave to hide. The female smiled as she slowly walked after him.

"Kuro, where are you? I'm going to find you, and I'm going to get you!" She said playfully.

A small giggle was heard from behind a rock. The female smiled as she slowly creeped up to the rock and then snaked her head around it.

"Boo!"

The hatchling, Kuro, squeaked in surprise and tried to dart away, only to be caught in another set of claws.

"Now, that isn't nice! You two get to have all the fun and you didn't even invite me to play."

The female smiled. Her mate was back and it looked like he'd been successful on his hunting trip. She walked up and rubbed her head against his neck. He in turn lovingly nuzzled her head.

"Welcome back, Hades." She purred.

Kuro darted around their paws, laughing and tripping over his own. Hades grinned and looked down at the hatchling.

"Daddy, Mommy! I'm hungry!" Kuro whined as his stomach growled.

Hades chuckled and lifted the animals he caught off of his back and set them on the cavern floor. After they all had finished the meal, Hades sensed something that made his scales crawl. He sensed bloodlust and greed, a definitely bad combination. The sounds of several footsteps were soon heard.

"Kurona, take Kuro and hide. I have a bad feeling about this."

His mate gently picked Kuro up by the scruff of his neck and hurried into the back of the cave. Hades growled as a small army of armored men walked into view. Dragon Hunters.

"Tell me, how much of a bounty is put on my head?" He asked mockingly.

He may be sweet and loving to his mate and child, but to everyone else, he was a monster.

"More than you know, and that mate and child of your's will really beef up our reward." A man with a spear said.

Hades felt his blood boil. They dare threaten his family?! A sudden scream made his heart stop. It'd come from the cave. A huge man with a bloody axe walked out.

"How did he-?!"

"You dragons are too easy to fool. It already cost your family their lives." The man said with a chuckle.

Hades felt his eyes pulse. His black pupils gained a red slit in them and his eyes gave off a demonic red glow.

"I'm going to show you." He snarled as the men readied their weapons, "I'm going to show you just how I gained the nickname 'Hell Demon' Hades."
