Hades felt his heart shatter when Kuro said that. The process was finally over, but he didn't move. Hades just kept his forehead pressed against Kuro's with his eyes squeezed shut, tears sliding down his cheeks and onto Kuro's nose. More and more tears flowed from his eyes as Hades cried.
"D-Daddy, why are you crying?"
Hades opened his eyes to see Kuro looking at him with a glow in his eyes only a child could have.
"Daddy, are you alright?"
Hades smiled.
"Yes, Daddy's alright, Kuro."
"Yay!" Kuro exclaimed happily, "I'm so happy I get to see you again, Daddy! I'm so sorry for saying mean things to you earlier!"
Hades started to cry again; only this time, he was crying tears of joy. His son was back to the personality he'd had before they'd been separated. Hades felt a small tongue running across his scales. Kuro was trying to lap up his tears with his little tongue. Hades' smile grew even bigger and he gently curled around Kuro. He gave a content sigh as he felt his son snuggle up against his side.
"Night night, Daddy. I love you." Kuro said with a yawn.
Hades gently nuzzled Kuro on the head.
"Daddy loves you to, Kuro. Daddy loves you to."
