Final word

I hope you liked this book. The end is a bit open, since I want the readers to want to continue, to think and form their own ideas how the story ends. Now there are some symbols I want to make clear.

Her name; Lycorida's name is unique, and it matches her personality and her past which are also unique. The name comes from the flower Lycoris.

The spider lily (Lycoris) has a very special meaning in Japan and China: There it is called the "flower of the other shore" or "flower of the dead". The bulbs are poisonous and were planted around rice fields and houses as protection against pests and mice. It reminds me of how Lycorida created Timothe to protect herself from the past and trauma like the spider lilies is used to protect against pests and mice.

They say there is a river in the underworld, the forgotten one River, originally the River Styx from Greek mythology.

When the dead cross the river to get to the other side

to come, then they will lose all his memories of her

past life. The red spider lilies grow on the bank,

Legend has it that the scent brings back all the beautiful memories of death one last time before the dead

disappear on the other side. [The flower of the other bank, meaning the realm of the dead].

This also reminds me of her.

Timothe also calls her "little flower" because her name is based on the flower spider lilies and she loves flowers (plants) herself. And the "little" is because she is a bit shorter and more sensitive.

The reason why Timothe wasn't only just her friend but also her lover is, because Lycorida read many books and wished to have something like in her books. That's also why Timothe said the romantic things. Most of them I read in my books.

Ficus and Amary (amaryllis) are plants, that are toxic plants and I think I don't have to explain why their name are based on toxic flowers.

Then there are the places. Esitys, Prestanda and Morpheus. I know that Morpheus (the country) wasn't mentioned so much as the other two places. Prestanda means "Imagination" in Swedish and Esitys means "Imagination" in Finnish. Morpheus is a god of dreams in Greek mythology. So also, the places have a meaning. These were all Symbols.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you
